Dore village - what is it like?

Recommended Posts

Dore in normal talk.

It's Dore Village when selling your house up there :hihi:

Or when you're talking to anyone else from 'the village'.

Village? It's not a village. It's a row of shops in a suburb of Sheffield.

Spot on, and not even shops that are beneficial to the local economy! HSBC have pulled out, so no bank there! Delicatessan gone, Greens hardware shop gone, Clovers Post Office gone, Liptons gone, Newsagents went bust, two of the butchers gone, etc etc.

... looking pretty grim I'd say

When buying a house up there, and you have paid this extra money for the word 'village' in the title, then you will chuffin' well use it in conversation too! :hihi:

... so like most other 'villages' then? :)
