Does anyone know how i can get in touch with Yodel couriers.
They claimed to have attempted a delivery today but were unsuccessful. And i seem to be missing a calling card that they've claimed to have pushed through the letterbox.
It's very odd because DPD have called with a delivery aswell and that was very successful.

They are on Park House Lane, Tinsley. Right onto the end, it used to be a DHL depot.

They are absolutely useless, last week my OH ordered a new phone upgrade and Yodel are the courier service Virgin used. Told her that the phone would be delivered Tuesday between 7am and 9pm and they would txt her when nearby, so she stayed in all day waiting, as you can guess, no phone. Got in touch with Virgin the next day as could not get through to Yodel, Virgin very apologetic but they would contact Yodel to see what happened. Virgin called back 3 hours later and according to Yodel, the phone had been delivered and signed for, but not to us , anyway, Virgin put a block on that phone and dispatched another one with, you guessed it, Yodel. Still no phone Thursday, rang Virgin to complain, said it would be there Friday, and no it wasn't . Getting really peeved off now so contacted Virgin again and fair play to them, they waived any delivery charges and the first months payment, they contacted Yodel (don't know how coz we could never get through) who said it would be delivered on Saturday, between 7am and 1pm, still not there at 1pm when they finish for the day...Back on to Virgin for more questions and a rant (i know it's not their fault, but spleens had to be vented...) and all ready to cancel the mobile contract, when lo and behold, the phone arrives at 2.30 . So a phone that only had to come from Tinsley could have been quicker coming from Australia...

What location are you in, I had exactly the same thing happen yesterday.
I followed the tracking information all day (working from home).
Late in the evening it suddenly updated to say attempted delivery at 11:11, card left.
Needless to say they never attempted delivery and there is no card.

There is a contact link on the website, I wouldn't hold your breath for a reply though.

Cyclone.
Thats really wierd because i too waited in all day and kept checking the online tracking system for updates.
All day the tracker said that my parcel was "out for delivery". Then at 1745 it updated and said that it was "in transit". Then at half past 9 last night, it suddenly updated and said that an attempted delivery had been made at 11.11.

It is Virgin's fault as they choose to use Yodel, peanuts and monkeys springs to mind

Yodel often do not attempt delivery and then state they did which is why you might not have gotten a card. You cannot contact Yodel. They will refuse to speak to you. They will only speak to the person who sent the parcel not the person who is receiving it. Most of my parcels I either had to go and pick up from the delivery guy's house of they were simply sent back to sender after zero attempts to deliver.
Next time pay a bit more for a different delivery company. It's a false economy.

I would bet my life savings it's the same guy who has not been able to deliver all his parcels and so instead of owning up to this has simply said that he tried to deliver his remaining ones and no one was in.

Yodel also seem to have a reputation for leaving parcels in full view to be stolen.

They left a pc monitor on the step outside the communal entrance to my flat in its original box (not in a grey bag).

I won't use them - at least not their Yodel service. They also operate the CollectPlus service for smaller parcels and I've had a 99% success rate.
3 parcels via Yodel, 2 sent from me both went missing, one sent to me they delivered on a Sunday to a work address (I choose a work address as it's open on regular delivery days, not like idiots who order things for un-timed home delivery then go out every day) and being closed they didn't leave a card, they just returned to sender as an "undeliverable address"
I usually use Parcel2Go to book couriers not only because they are often preferential prices but I have found if I have had an issue you sometimes have to nag them a little but they have an email, phone, liveperson chat and facebook channel so it is easier to get them to chase up your parcel with the actual courier than it is to do so oneself. So long as you speak to them nicely, you often get a refund on the delivery without much quibble if it's gone missing - for relatively low value items that's okay as I usually factor in "acceptable loss"
All couriers lose things / break things but Yodel are by far the worst. City Link are not far behind. DHL for small parcels are pretty good and quick on same-day collection but can be a nightmare for pallets. Hermes are okay - cheap but slow (shave a day off the time by using their parcelshop dropoff) - get what you pay for and bizarrely Collect+ by Yodel is as good as any for an economy 3-5 day small (<2kg) packet service. UKMail are my preference for urgent <10kg parcels

I was on delivery last Saturday morning (i'm a postie), and saw two guys in an battered old Astra estate delivering parcels. A stack of cards on the dashboard showed they were working for Yodel.
They attempted to deliver some parcels to a house, got no answer so the guy stood waiting at the van shouted 'throw them over the fence' - it was raining and the parcels were in cardboard boxes, but they still got thrown over the back fence!
I guess this is what happens when there is demand for cheaper and cheaper services.

Got home the other day to find 4 cards on the door mat from Yodelling with increasingly more frustrated messages from the guy trying to redepiver throughout the day. A work day might I add. I left it a couple of days and called in at the depot to collect to be tolerant it was back on the van, hurry home. 4 hours later it arrived. It's poor.

This is also true
When couriers use "self employed" drivers (i.e. they are reliant on Yodel but have no minimum wage/employment rights and pay their own tax, use their own vehicle, insurance, petrol) and get paid 25p-50p for a delivery, if there are no other deliveries within a few miles radius, why would that courier bother, spending all their profit on petrol?
Instead, they will falsify a delivery attempt and then attempt the 2nd delivery on the next day - if you're lucky then there will be another couple of deliveries in the same area making it worthwhile to take them.
The courier firms are addressing this by introducing cameras to provide a photo of the door as "proof or delivery attempt" but that again is penalising the underpaid driver
I use couriers and I am guilty of seeking the cheapest price but I do sympathise with the drivers and can't blame anyone for not spending 60p on fuel & wear/tear for 50p takings.
But yes, as end users we are partly to blame for seeking cheaper and cheaper - something has to give. I can't afford to pay £1 a delivery more to ensure the driver gets £1.50 rather than 50p because if you bought from me, you wouldn't buy the item from me at £1 more than a competitor if I advertised "I pay couriers a fair wage". Besides, the extra £1 would probably yield 15p for the driver and 85p for the shareholders

My package turned up the next day (despite having used the online rearrange delivery service and said Friday). The guy delivering it said he hadn't had it for delivery yesterday, probably the truth, I expect that there is more than one delivery agent in the area. At least it arrived in one piece. Unlike my glass desk that came strapped to a pallet by lorry, in about a million pieces and left again on the same lorry.
