Been up to Leeds on the Train for free on mine, you can travel from Sheffield to Leeds and back on a free pass but you wouldn't be able to travel within West Yorkshire, say from Leeds to Wakefield.

Not on a train, certainly, but you can go from Leeds to Bradford (For example) on a bus using your concessionary pass.

North derbyshire council its different to the ones you have in sheffield as you cannot use it on the railways you can only use it on the buses

bit of a bummer when you placed this reply to a post back in 2011 about OAP and bus passes.

[Quote]I think that the oap's should not get free bus travel as the country cannot afford to pay for them when everything else is getting cut instead they should pay half fare as it stands now the bus companies are having to cut services and put fares up to pay due to them.[End of quote]

Do you feel the same rules above should apply to a disabled person with a concessionary bus pass.

Just used my pass in Bournemouth on their buses, me & wife had a holiday there in the last week; mind you I did Not GET ANY CONCESSIONARY travel down there we both paid full whack & yes I'm disabled (don't know if I could have got any anyway lol).

I find it useful as due to the conditions it has, I can use it on other companies bus services, oh and just for the record the bus crews there are NOTHING like ours, no they are courteous & polite & the fares are so much cheaper the wife said.
