The Worcester 550CDi gives a flow rate of 25l/min, correct, so what reason does the engineer that has advised you give for it NOT delivering what the manufacturer states as its output?? If you have poor flow rate coming into the property then this WOULD be a problem so I would advise checking this before installing such a sizeable appliance. The Worcester is a floor-standing boiler whereas the Vaillant 937 is wall-hung. The Vaillant does NOT have a flow rate of 15l/min as you state.......it give a blended output of approx 20l/min for a finite period, once the heat store is used THEN it reverts back to normal combi mode and adequatel heats around 16l/min. In comparison the Worcester may be better regarding HW output but that does come at a cost as it is significantly more expensive than the Vaillant mentioned. Both will require adequate gas supply to meet the possible high demand too. Hope this help explain a little, regards, Steve

I wouldn't install either as neither is really suitable for the potential hot water demand of the property. You say 4 bathrooms! How many full size baths are there, how many mixer showers? Is it likely that several hot water outlets will be used simultaneously, I.e running 2 mixer showers. I'd go for a suitably sized unvented cylinder which will provide mains pressure hot water and ensure sufficient volume. I'd also consider solar thermal as this would reduce energy costs and provide a tax free income for every kw of heat you produce when te RHI (renewable heat incentive) is finally launched next year.
Happy to advise, or why not visit our high street showroom in Doncaster town centre.

I looked at having a 937 and was advised by almost everyone to stay away from them, in the end we got a valiant 210.

In a property with more than a couple of bathrooms and showers then the only realistic option is to fit an unvented system. As Steve Peacock says you could also at the time or later on add solar to bring your overall bills down.
I think both the Vaillant and Worc would struggle to meet your needs.

Hi,
I have a boiler that needs to be recited aprox 30 cm from where it is now to the left. Is there any Gas Safe engineers that can do this for me. I have been told that the on/off lever does not need to be moved just the boiler and I need a bigger anaconda connecter (800mm) thingy! The GAs Safe engineer I usually use does not move boilers.
Can someone advise if this can be done? Apologies in advance if i have posted in the wrong place.
Thanks,
City Central

Hiya,
LOL! He is definitley Gas Safe engineer and on their web site .
He did use the proper term but I can't recall it, it is basically the silver connector between bolier and the main gas feed.
I take it you do move boilers? I don't want to waste mine or your time calling
Thanks for the reply,
City Central.

Feel free to call us and have a chat about what you require and we can take a look at your job and give you a free quote.
If you do mean the gas meter is to be moved you need to get a quote from your supplier.
Dont let anyone move the meter unless you have seen they are qualified to do so cheers jon.

I have a worcester 28i Boiler that is making banging noises and the hot water is very very hot 99% of the time and 1% of the time it is cold (will not heat at all). Any body know what could be the problem?
This problem has been solved - It was a combination of problems - Faulty senser, trapped air and faulty board - all in the boiler. British Gas engineers have sorted it after a few tries / visits.

Do u mean 28i RSF?? Yes, clogged up domestic hot water heat exchanger. Causes the water that passes through to boil (kettling), which trips the boiler off via the DHW thermistor, which then gives cold water.
Can be taken off and cleaned out but its not a DIY job or replace with new heat ex.
