Hi - got your PM - it won't let me reply as I've not made 5 posts!

Would want 6 Courgette and 6 French Bean if you'd got that many?
Could collect tonight between 6 and 7, if any good, alternatively am around at various times tomorrow...

Thanks,
Andrew

If these plants are grown on an allotment with the intention of sale for profit what is being done here is illegal. (Not that it should be - it's a law to keep the peasants in their place you see, one of the laws which enforces land monopoly). But that ain't the point.

The forum won't let you sell firearms on here (some of which you can legally sell!).

Yet the illegal sale of food is apparently allowed!

The illegal sale is only apparently allowed when its apparent that they are grown on a council plot, which it has not been confirmed that this is even the case.

I think you have to report the post if you think its illegal

I'll happily turn a blind eye, but I want to debate that absurd law on t'forum

The OP isn't selling food. He is selling plants. That is perfectly legal, even if they were raised on an allotment. There is no evidence that they were anyway.

The sale might have been better in the classifieds, but I see no harm in leaving it here.

"produce"....

Plants, much like food, are produce.

Where is your evidence that they were raised on an allotment?

I think that the interpretation of "produce" is likely to be food, not food plants too, but hey...

I didn't have any until I carried out a quick search.

And although it could be implied, there is no evidence. It would be hard to prove the case of any plants/flowers/veg/fruit being sold on the forum, unless it was stated.

Produce is selling the soil itself, the coal underneath it, the flowers or plants grown, or their fruits.

Anyhow, it's a tad unfair to have this debate on this guys thread. I would rather have a debate about the law on a specific thread.,

Could this thread;

http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/arch.../t-995206.html

please be opened?
