I think withdrawing a player every 5 minutes and operating a golden goal system would spice it up, the weaker team would have to attack before the other team is left with the better players.

That's a good argument against introducing it, then. It would be grossly unfair to a team which has played above its abilities to hold a better-quality opponent to a draw.

pick the best 3 players from each team. then both mini-teams take it in turn to play 'headers and volleys'... the team who scores the most goals in 5 minutes each wins.
