Thats where we tend to park. You have to keep an eye out for horses and other dogs along the edge but once you get to the dunes it's fairly quiet. Mind you, watch out for the boggy bits: me n Ailsa once got caught in what felt like quicksand/sludge and had to clean up in the loos we were knee deep in one place

Skinningrove? Saltburn? Middlesbrough? All very familar places to me! Are you originally from that area?

I do find it takes pretty much 2 hours to get to any of the east coast seaside resorts. It's the one thing I dislike about my adopted city of Sheffield - it's way too far from the sea! With Middlesbrough, especially since they opened the 'new' road, it's foot hard down and don't come out of 5th gear till the last couple of miles! The routes to the seaside involve little motorway and so are slower.

Anybody planning a beach trip should remember to check the tide times before setting off!

No- I'm a Black country/Brummie mongrel

I just like it up there and we go around that area for holidays (ideally out of school holiday times and staying nowhere near a resort) or for day trips when we want to go to the seaside and give Molly a place to lollop around and be a loon for a few hours.
