YES!!

We've been using them for about 3 months now and there are absolutely NO marks on the grass!

Biut this could be due to the fact that it has rained almost every day and diluted the wee before it had time to do any damage.

We have used them and they do work as long as your dogs don't drink from ANYWHERE else other than the bowl with the rocks. No puddles, streams, drinks in the car etc. otherwise they don't work. In the end we fenced the lawn off as I'd reseeded and turfed it and it got ridiculous. Male dogs shouldn't effect the grass in the same way.

Not Male dogs... Its a Bitches hormone that excreted, which is acidic, in the urine..... This is what makes the grass go yellow... The Dog Rocks contain a mineral that neutralizes this acidity, hence no yellow marks....

Never heard of these before but we have a problem with our garden and urine patches.I'd love to give them a try - (well not me personally) Anyone know where I can buy them from from and is that what they're called - Dog Rocks?

My dad used to have a bucket of water at the ready, that worked as well. Funny how we ditch old methods for something new and costly.

Apple Cider vinegar also does the same thing - just put a teaspoonful in their water. However, as someone has mentioned, it didn't work too well for us as our female dog gets a great deal of her water from other places like the woods.

Good luck with the rocks. I've tried them, along with tomato juice and the grass still turned yellow. Also worth considering is why would we want to put stuff through the dog's body just to save our grass? Personally, I'm not sure I like the idea of it. The only real solution that I know of is (as above) - a bucket of water at the ready. Otherwise train the dog to wee elsewhere.

I have seen this subject so many times, and believe me nothing works, and its not just bitches either, its just that most dogs stand up to wee, unlike bitches who squat so you dont get the patch, but you let a dog keep weeing up a tree and see how it dies.

Ive got two boy dogs and did have a girl as well, and thought it was just her but we still get brown patches, because depending on how they feel they sometimes sit down to wee and if we dont pour water on it staight away the grass dies,

We have fenced off part of the garden so that we can still have a bit of a lawm, its drove my hubby mad for years.

We had brand new turf down last july and now the garden looks awful with yellow patches everywhere.

we have put miracle grow on the patchy bits and it did grow back but he just went and wee'd somewhere else then LOL and caused patches there.

what alternative methods are there to try???

We are going to do what someone suggested, fence abit of the garden off and reseed it but we still need to help stop the yellow patches.

Truly the only way is to follow them round with a watering can, and water the area well, I always had good intentions but soon got fed up, and mine go three walks a day.

We water where our bitch and dogs wee but I'm worried about using dog rocks as nobody had been able to explain the science. I'm talking biology inside the dog not just pH. I'm concerned about the long term health effects of using thes minerals in the drinking water. Does anyone have any info?

Since the weathewr has been great, we've noticed more yellow grass. Maybe my rocks have run out of juice.
