They claim to be a group of restaurant when they hav only this place in Sheffield n 1 in inkly lol food not the best in the world can tell it's not fresh if u sit in the car park when the staff arrive u can see them unloading big pots I'm gessing they cook it in inkly n bring it down to Sheffield most chains of restaurant work like that even aagrah n akbars the deco ant bad but they hav cut coners eg next time ur in just lift up the table cloths n ul see wot I mean

can't beat local n fresh food.

Where do Akbars bring their food in from? I really enjoyed Akbars but didn't think it warranted the drive out there.

A friend of mine had his sisters wedding there about 6months ago me and him turned up early just to make sure everything was ready and organised to our surprise non of the staff had arrived now me n him was thinking how the he'll are they gona cook for 400 gests in an hour then when they did turn up 45min befor the gests arrived we asked the chef how u gona cook for so many in an 45min? He told us the foods been cooked in Bradford and brought over hear? It's understanabul if 2 diff chefs cooked the same dish ul still taste some diff to get it taste same in all branches it will have to be cooked in 1 place but still will diff slightly but not as much as if 2 diff chefs cooking.

Il always say out of the 4 chains in Sheffield akbars is the best iv Neva had any issues with the food or service staff are friendly and well organised its just 1 of them things mrtrigger if u got same menu in every branch to keep the food at the consistency it has to be done that way or u keep diff menus in diff branches and serve diff dishes.

King scallops marinated in lime juice, pepper, green chilli , green coriander and then grilled. Served with kachoomber salad & oven baked calamari.

Sea bass fillet marinated lightly with spices and cooked over charcoal. Served with crisp salad and Kashmiri sauce .

went to the buffet again a few days ago, excellent!!

One gripe.. exactly the same choice as in previous weeks, a minor gripe as the food is really top notch

Well we do change buffet menu every week however we have to keep some of the starters and main course i.e lamb chops , fish , chicken or lamb makhni to make customers happy as some prople like them most.
We also introducing new dishes from the main menu and getting feed back from customers then will put them in the buffet menu within couple of weeks

have to say, the lamb chops are superb as was the darker lamb main course, so tender (apologies I cant recall the name)
