So guys let me explain what this is about..... I always take my lunch to work because the canteen is ridicolously overpriced however lately im so bored of the usual sandwich so i wondered if anyone would like to play a game.

The rules:
Give me 5 suggestions what to have monday to friday
1 Must be a warm heal i can heat up
1 Must be a sandwich

please bear in mind at work the only facility i have available is a microwave and kettle.

p.s i dont like mayonaise or seafood so dont add this.

How about you make your own posh pot noodle at home then you'd just need the kettle at work and you'd have a tasty hot dinner?

I keep meaning to try this myself but never get round to it!

I make loads of pasta, have some for my tea, and take a tub to work for lunch the next day. Add whatever you like, tuna, chicken, sweetcorn, peppers etc.

I also take my lunch to work every day. If there are leftovers from the night before, I usually take them for lunch. But here are some of my lunch favorites, which are easy to make and transport:

1. (Re)heated dish: Chinese vegetable fried rice with peas, scrambled egg, scallions, carrots, water chestnuts and celery.

2. Sandwich: Mediterranean veggie with spicy red pepper hummus, leaf lettuce or alfalfa sprouts, avocado, red onion and tomato. (I assemble the sandwich at work so the bread doesn't get soggy; also, I use substantial whole-grain bread for this.)

3. Deconstructed tacos. I make taco-seasoned ground beef or Spanish rice the night before. At work, I reheat the beef or rice in the microwave and top it with cool grated Cheddar, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives and chopped green chili peppers or jalapenos. I usually scoop it all up with tortilla chips or crunch them on top.

4. Tabbouleh salad. I start with a boxed mix that contains dry bulgur wheat and seasonings then add my own chopped cucumber, chopped tomatoes, lemon juice, olive oil, scallions, chopped ripe olives and, if I have it on hand, fresh mint. I wouldn't recommend this if you have to be in close contact with co-workers or customers, though. It's very fragrant!

5. Italian bean salad. I combine white (cannellini) beans with canned tuna, shallots, parsley, olive oil and a splash of red wine vinegar. I eat it cold with crackers.

I'm in need of some different ideas so I'll be stealing some that are in this thread!

I usually have chicken sandwiches Monday - Friday... I have soup sometimes when it's cold outside.

That's it though. Boring eh?
