It sounds surprisingly like all the other 'become self employed' scams that exist. All you have to do is send an £80 cheque to this company and in return they share their amazing business model.
Unfortunately that business model is mainly based on scamming people out of £80 cheques.

If this company had a product that was so easy to sell, it wouldn't be run like this, it would hire some sales people directly, sell the product directly and make the profit directly.

Hi Cyclone, many thanks for your comments, i can tell your a man of the world and one who has enourmous experience in the business arena, perhaps you would like to share with us the basis on which your comments were made, your vast experience of running your own business, and any other training you have had on bringing products to market through direct and indirect sales. I await your reply with bated breath!

Firstly, no money changes hands until i have personally had a meeting with the people who are interested. During that meeting i will determine if they are capable of making a success of this business or not. If i don't believe they have the right qualities i will tell them there and then and walk away. I cant afford to spend my time with people who dont crave success and just want to plod along, and i certainly don't want to waste their time or money either. If i do believe they are capable of acheiving success, and they convince me that they will give a commitment to developing their new business, only then will i give them the business pack, talk them through it and take the £80. But my involvement doesn't stop there. Following that the new team member will get coaching, guidance, and support from me and other team members for as long as they want or need it, providing they play their part, we are all available to help them all we can, but were not there to drag them along if their hearts not in it. This is the reason our team is the fastest growing team in Herbalife UK.

As for your comment about selling the products. Please read up a little more on the benefits of a company using direct selling to get its product to market, rather than the method you have suggested. Because of direct selling the company now has a turnover of 3.8 billion dollars and can afford to sponsor the likes of LA Galaxy, Inter Milan, Valencia CF and the London Triathalon, the biggest event of its kind in the world. It also means that if you are one of the 1.9million distributors world wide and work at developing your business, you are very well rewarded for your own efforts and not subsidising the non -performing "sales people".

Ah, the old attack the posters experience ploy.
I do run my own business thanks Darren. I don't have to sucker people into sending me £80 cheques in order to make any money though.
During your meeting I've no doubt that you talk about how much money you've made, how easy it is and how life will never be the same for them, after they've sent you £80.
The last paragraph doesn't even make sense, you are one of those sales people, except with a large personal outlay and all the risk being with yourself instead of the parent company.
There's a good reason why most companies do not bring products to market like this, but the bottom line is that this isn't about the product, it's about the pyramid scheme.

Look guys, please dont comment on someting you have not fully researched and put people off looking at something that could improve their current situation.

There is a Free Herbalife Opportunity Meeting this coming Thursday evening (19th) in Sheffield and we are expecting around 200 people to attend so far. Please come along as my guests and post a report on Friday to give everyone your educated opinion. This offer is also open to anyone else who is looking to start their own business - part time or full time - and wants to increase their income, develop new skills, and meet lots of positive, ambitious, and motivated people. To attend this event you have to register at www.whyherbalifetour.com/events/uk/en Then call the person who invited you to let them know you will be attending. Please register sooner rather than later as the event is almost full and i wouldn't want you to miss out.
My number is 07515879827. Please call me if you are coming along and i will look out for you.

All the very best. Darren

Darren. Just give up. If this whole thing was really working for you, you wouldnt be trying to recruit off an internet forum. I dont think it even matters if youre telling the truth or not, it still sounds like a shady, unreliable and unsecure job anyway.

Oh my God!! Stay away from herbalife as much as you would stay away from the devil.
This so called "self employment opportunity" is present in many countries, and I myself went to the first meeting, and afterwards been warned by a guy who had believed that scam and lost so much money investing in their BS products. You will never make money from it.

OK all the negative and sceptical ones out there, this is my very last response and i give in.

I sincerely hope you all get everything you desire, but to do this you have to open your eyes and minds to opportunities, stop thinking everyone is out to scam you, and if you would like to run your own business stop beleiving you can start a business for nothing.

For things to change - you have to change.

Very best wishes. Darren

To all the people who have contacted me and are coming to the presentation on Thursday, i thank you for your faith in me, i promise you will not be dissappointed, and i won't let you down.

See you soon. Darren

A healthy level of scepticism is what keeps people from the scams that do exist If you believe every kook who came on here promising massive returns for little effort and that initial £89 cheque then you'd be short a lot of £89 cheques and no richer.

You can start a business for very little, creating a company costs about £30 if I remember correctly.
