Apologies to those that have asked me to arrange a foodie meet over the last couple of months. I've had stuff on and just haven't had the time.

Anyway, I've booked a table for fifteen people on November 25th. I'll confirm final numbers a couple of days before, so don't let this number concern you - it can go up aswell as down. All I ask is that if you put your name down as attending, please let me know at least two days before if you can't make it.

The Milestone is a quality restaurant. It's ambience is sweet, it's environment is simple and pure - and the focus of the evening is just as it should be, the food.

The Milestone is the only new eaterie in Yorkshire to be added to the Michelin eating out guide. In addition, it holds the winner of 'Best restaurant of the year award (EatSheffield Awards)

Good, locally sourced produce (as much as is possible) and the knowledge that everything is freshly prepared on site makes for an all-round enjoyable dining experience.

Their website is here.

Menu's (including prices) will be posted tomorrow once it's been PDF'd.

Put me down as a maybe for the min. I will look at the finances and get back to you. However, I really would like to go as I've often walked past and thought about going in there.

How was the food tonight?

Having checked out the links that Stagey provided, this looks like a place not to be missed!

Yes please, count me in!

Well I said on the Bakewell camp meet that I'd try a proper meal in a proper restaurant. So it'd be rude to back out now.

I'm also off work, so no excuse, so stick me down as a nervous definite!

I'll definitely be there with my plus 1. If the food is anything like it was last night - it's definitely unmissable!

No worries. As per thread title, we're meeting there at 7.30pm. No doubt we'll be eating shortly after.

Couldn't you just have a 10% service charge and some lettuce?

not quite sure what to make of that..... what could you possibly mean ;o)

I tend to only eat out places when I have a reason to - espe cially the more pricey ones, and haven't had a need for a dinner in that area... there are so many restaurants on my list to try, and then the reliable/cheaper/easy ones that I re visit that I don't think I'll ever get round them all!!

Fantastic news!

I haven't seen Shiesh since SupraSteve's meet at the Norton pub! That must be about 3 years ago now!

I think we might be near neighbours? If so, want a lift? NB I don't drink alcohol.

Since I have a voucher for a free bottle of wine, and since I've been drooling at the thought of eating there since you mentioned it ages ago, it'd be rude not to.

Hi, Thanks for your kind offer.
As of now I'm not sure where I will be on the 25th before 7pm. If I'm home I'd love to take up the offer. I'll PM you as soon as I know if that's ok.
NB I do drink alcohol.
