The Woolworths chain has gone into administration, they employ over 25,000 people throughout the UK..
This could mean lots more job losses.
they are in talks with US firm Hilco about a potential nominal buy out.

What it does show is the futility of trying to force banks into lending money to businesses against the banks better judgement. Unfortunately a lot of businesses are going to fold in the next few months and they will owe a lot of money when it happens. Banks have been financed by our money and I for one am happy that they don't lend it recklessly

The new version of UK monopoly is to be brough into the modern day age and properties will be priced in pence in order to match their real value, City lofts properties will occupy the browns, sheffield airport, woolworths and MFI (being the one worth £1.20) occupy the blues. Banks make up the stations with the utilities being Wetherspoons and Costa coffee. The most prestigious purple properties are the hostel and council house. GO is replaced by the JOBcentre+.
If you go to prison you can leave straight away and collect your £50, although you can stay in for a maximum of 3 turns collecting £50 each go.
Free parking is now a fine square of £50 to remove clamp else you have to roll a double to get out.
Other properties include NETTO, Lidl, Aldi, Primark, Asda, Tescos, Booze buster, poundstretcher, wilkinsons etc.
