Owls Transfer Rumours For Jan 2017

Recommended Posts

To be honest,if i were a Barnsley supporter,i'd be pretty p'd off at the club selling your top scorer plus the club captain(if it happens) to a team in the same league, let alone one 20 miles up the road...

and close to each other in the table, only 4 points between us

I watched some of Winnall on You Tube last night and I like the look of him, I like the fact his goals come from Left foot, Right foot and Head and from in and out of the box, which is a great asset for a striker. Interesting signing but who will he drop?

There is no doubt with the players we have brought in we have strengthened the squad, and got value for money but have we strengthened the starting eleven. I only see Mcmanaman an improvement on what we already had when they are fit, my team would be.

Westwood

Hunt, Lees, Loovens, Pudil.

Mcmanaman, Hutchinson, Jones/ Bannan, Reach

Hooper , Forestieri

To add insult to injury,£500k for Winnall is a steal...when you consider only Aguero and McCormack have scored more league goals than him since 2013..

Lets hope Hourihane signs in the next few days....

Twenty miles :hihi: we are next door neighbours .

Winnall has to go straight into the team, he's scored more goals this season (11) than our leading scorer, which is FF with 6. This is why CC has signed him, we need to score more goals. Might also be a kick up the behind for Hooper!

Is official now on SS

WINNALL JOINS OWLS

Sheffield Wednesday have signed striker Sam Winnall from Sky Bet Championship rivals Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.

Winnall has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year contract with the Owls and was a vital part of the Tykes' promotion from League One last season, boasting a strike rate in excess of a goal every other game.

He will be eligible for his debut against fellow promotion chasers Huddersfield this weekend.

FF and Fletcher have both scored 6, Hooper 5. Hardly banging them in, in fact Owls are 2nd lowest scorers in top half of Championship!

Winnall has scored 11!
