Runningman   136 #1012 Posted November 27, 2016 I went along to Graves Park this morning and what an uplifting experience ! Kids enjoying themselves, out of bed early on a Sunday morning, not one of them holding a piece of technology. Shaping their future under the guidance of their parents. Could I have seen a future champion ?
 Share this content via...
Flanker7   20 #1013 Posted December 5, 2016 (edited) Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for 3rd/4th December 2016.  83 - Concord 156 - Graves Park 58 - Graves junior's 172 - Hillsborough 52 - Castle 457 - Hallam  Total - 978  144 - Rother Valley 65 - Clifton Park  Total -209  Overall total = 1,187  Percy Pud seems to have had an effect on attendances. Both course records were broken in the prestigious local event. £1,000 went to Mohammad Abu-Rezeq, 29:57, and Rio 2016 Olympic 5000m finalist Eilish McColgan, 32:32. The times achieved would have beaten the best times at all local events, twice consecutively. Mohammed was the epitome of consistency passing me at 3k in exactly 9 minutes and completing each and every kilometer in 3 minutes!  ---------- Post added 12-12-2016 at 08:18 ----------  Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for 10th/11th December 2016.  80 - Concord 192 - Graves Park 79 - Graves junior's 177 - Hillsborough 78 - Castle 530 - Hallam  Total - 1136  156 - Rother Valley 65 - Clifton Park  Total - 221  Overall total = 1,357 Edited December 11, 2016 by Flanker7 update number
 Share this content via...

Whoosh77 Â Â 10 #1016 Posted December 16, 2016 (edited) Castle is doing a parkrun on Christmas day this year IIRC. Â No Castle are not doing a Christmas Day parkrun. Concord are though, as usual, with Barnsley I think the other nearest apart from Poolsbrook. Paolo Coopio   10 #1020 Posted December 29, 2016 Does anyone know anything about the Resolution Run at Rother Valley in January.  Very sketchy details on their website. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about the 12k route that goes on the rougher terrain paths around the park.
 Share this content via...
