mafya   222 #25 Posted November 9, 2016 Don't fool yourself. Trump doesn't have friends. He divides the world into three: 1. Those who will help his aims. They are the wonderful wonderful people.  2. Those who will challenge him. They are evil nasty disgusting people.  3. Pussy.  ---------- Post added 09-11-2016 at 14:16 ----------   When Blair et al managed to deceive enough of the country with a pack of lies for the Iraq invasion, it lingered until we had closure from the Chilcott Report over a decade later.  Ultimately it's Blair whose eaten up from within. But the region continues to pay a heavy price, with Isis moving into the vacuum and creating a refugee crisis.  Let's not make important decisions on the back of a pack of lies again.  The remain campaign was full of lies too= http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/matthew-ellery/leave-lies-remainers-need_b_12191462.html
 Share this content via...

Happy Daddy   10 #30 Posted November 9, 2016 OMG he only won the populist vote by around 1%, that less than brexit, some on here will be calling for a re run. Santo   10 #31 Posted November 9, 2016 Apart from CNN who swear blind Trump won because Putin messed with their election  Not as daft as claiming the whole system was rigged which Trump did loudly and often. Yet he won. Bigly. Or big league depending on who you ask.  Those pesky establishment election riggers ought to be sacked. Whoever they are. Obelix   11 #32 Posted November 9, 2016 My bold= Give it a rest now as the same line over and over is getting boring now. I see you don't bring up the lies that the remain side told, you remainers need to look in the mirror= http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/matthew-ellery/leave-lies-remainers-need_b_12191462.html  Us "remainers" will stop complaining when the £350 million a week gets spent on the NHS as promised.  As for the implicit denigration of "remainers" as being someone tiresome that you'd rather not deal with be careful of where that leads you. Oh its in American and they already seem to be accepting it  He actually is losing the popular vote.  With 99% of votes counted, Hillary Clinton has 59,680,006 votes. Donald Trump has 59,479,105 votes.  Clinton therefore has more of the popular vote than Trump.  (As did Al Gore when he lost against Bush Jr in 2000)
 Share this content via...
andyofborg   11 #34 Posted November 9, 2016 How will the Trump presidency affect BREXIT ?  Answer - The UK will be at the front of the queue.  do we want to be though?  given his very public statements about returning and retaining US jobs then he can hardly sign a deal which would encourage jobs to flow from the US to the UK, though he might like one which pulls jobs the other way.  on that basis i'm sure he would like a deal which encouraged us to by US produced goods rather than home produced ones  and finally, most of the things which got people so excited by the TTIP are pretty standard in all trade deals so all those concerns will still be there. It's a non brainer that being at the front of the queue for anything is better than being at the back of the queue.
 Share this content via...
tzijlstra   11 #36 Posted November 9, 2016 It's a non brainer that being at the front of the queue for anything is better than being at the back of the queue.  It certainly is, especially when dealing with a new President who wants to re-introduce trade tariffs to protect US jobs over foreign jobs when your key-economy is international finance which is already under pressure from a potential loss of passporting.  Keep cheering, the world is changing!
