How much to carpet a 3 bed house

Recommended Posts

we're getting 2 rooms done in my house, fairly average size, £950 - the carpet is mid-priced too, nothing fancy.

They saw you coming! Not as sharp as the name suggests!

cheapest of several quotes and very reasonable. obviously not used to the dire carpets and fitting standards some posters on here are used to :hihi:

Cord maybe all the OP can afford at the minute, especially when doing a full house.

why are you buying non-essentials like carpet when you are out of work?

We've used our john lewis wedding vouchers to carpet 3 fairly large rooms - total cost with underlay and fitting about £900, need to save some more cash for the stairs now!

carpet is an essential, and especially with children!

United carpets and beds, have an offer on for 83m2 of carpet for £415, plus it is good stuff i am thinking of getting it myself.

At Drake House retail park, near crystal peaks, you can buy cord carpet for around £2 m2, they usually have a roll outside to show, its at the back near SCS.

Oh and if you do buy always try and get discount! they can usually knock a bit more off.

Good luck!

So what would you put on the floor?

Or leave the floorboards as they are for children to walk on?

i'd leave the previous carpets in if i was skint.

and if my carpets had been stolen or i was moving into a carpetless house i'd go for wooden flooring which is far cheaper.
