Animal cruelty/ dog death- man now arrested

Recommended Posts

Be interesting to see what sentence he gets. There will be uproar if it's not custodial, so let's see how many years it will be.

I'm pleased they have arrested someone hopefully he will get what he deserves. Wish I'd never read about it though its so awful to think about.

Forgive me for coming over all pedantic like, but is being arrested the same as being convicted? Wow, why bother with law courts then?

Would save a fortune if the great and the good of Skye Edge could be engaged to dispense summary justice with the prod of a red hot poker.

Mustn't jump the gun as there has only been an arrest so far, he hasn't even been charged yet. But if guilty a custodial would seem inevitable, sentencing guidelines state:

Maximum Penalty : 51 weeks imprisonment

Fine not exceeding £20,000

I am pleased they have arrested and hopefully got the evil culprit! I only hope he gets what he deserves from the law - but if others were to get to him first, then I wouldn't have a problem with that either

Hopefully its the perpetrator.

I don't think 51 weeks is enough for someone that does something like that. It's not a lack of judgement or temporary loss of control that results in a dog being tortured and burnt alive in full public view. It's mental illness.

Whoever did that is not safe and fit to live amongst human beings.

People who abuse animals often go on the abuse women and children, but often get away with a very light punishment.

Can you back that up with some evidence or are you talking rubbish?

If this is true, he has had some 'street justice' delivered.

http://www.sheffieldnewsandsport.com/2013/02/27/sheffield-man-arrested-after-dog-tortured-and-burned-alive/

Cops probing the horrific death of a dog that was tortured, tied to a tree and burnt to death in Sheffield, have arrested a man.

The horrific death of the Staffordshire bull terrier sent shockwaves across the city and yesterday the owner of the dog was traced by police.

It also emerged that the dog may have been snatched from a yard before being shockingly tortured, beaten with an iron bar and has its legs broken.

It was then tied to a tree close to allotments near Manor Laith Road, Skye Edge, and burned alive. It’s charred body was discovered by a passer by who was left traumatised by the discovery.

Today police have revealed that a man has been arrested. It is believed local people provided information to detectives following an incident of ‘street justice’.

It is understood the arrested man , aged 28, may have been injured prior to his arrest following a confrontation with a group of local people outraged by the horrific incident.

A spokesman said: “Officers investigating the death of a dog, which was found on Manor Laith Road, Sheffield, have arrested a 28-year-old man.

“The man from Sheffield was arrested yesterday evening (Tuesday, 26 February, 2013) on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal and was bailed pending further enquiries.”

why would they need to back it up, its common knowledge, clear links have been established for many years between animal torture and rape/abuse of children and women, vast amounts of literature on the subject.

Whilst I dont usually condone vigilante action I must say reading that didn't make me feel as horrified as I usually do...lets just hope it actually was him, and not just some innocent bystander!

This bloke received a right pounding before the cops got him, we can't condone this vigilante behaviour but guess he got a taste of what he did to the dog. The child killer has certain protection on his side :( but still as evil.

Can't condone it :o are you having a laugh i condone it 100% i hope he now gets beaten and burned alive that would be Karma at it's finest.

It's no secret that scum who do stuff like he did go on to become serial killers more often than not.

He will no doubt pay a bigger price when he comes out of prison that is unless he gets a safe house and millions in taxpayers money protecting him
