Bludragonfly   10 #29 Posted December 1, 2012 Take a look at the British Gas service options at http://www.britishgas.co.uk/products-and-services/boilers-and-central-heating/cover.html  Homecare 100 from £9 a month includes an annual service and breakdown cover on the boiler too  We've been with them for years and always found them excellent
 Share this content via...

epiphany   10 #32 Posted December 2, 2012 Hi all, wonder if you can help me. I've just moved into a new house. My last place had a combi boiler, so when I turned on the shower the boiler would fire up, regardless of whether the heating was on. Simple.  In this new place, to get a decent hot shower I have to have the heating turned on for about 10 mins. At the moment I'm just using the thermostat to heat the water (as heating is usually on anyway), but if I only wanted to heat the water, what would be the most cost efficient way to do this?  Excuse my ignorance, I have only ever had combi boilers! JBradleybz   10 #33 Posted December 3, 2012 Hi not sure without looking but have you got zone valves or 1 3 port valve. Maybe a zone valve fault but like i said would need to see the system in action. After the heating has been on for just 10mins does the shower run fine? Its defo a mixer shower is it? Cheers jon at JB Heating.
 Share this content via...
