+1

I wouldn't worry too much about going out of your way, any watch battery place would do it. It's not like it needs to be pressure tested or needs any special tools. If the worst comes to the worst, it's no biggy - even Chinese auto movements are ten a penny.

:hihi: You beat me to it! I wear a Fossil watch for everyday use (not as cool as yours flash Harry!)

It is a nice watch and is water resistent down to 50 metres under water. It stoped today and I thought about taking the back off it myself to change the battery. A friend of mine told me not to do it, as I may damage the seel.

Therefore I would also like to know the answer to your OP.

By the way, I wear a Raymond Wiel at the weekend! :P

Borrow my Franck Muller, it doesn't have batteries ;)

Didn't think I would see watch snobs on SF :)

To guarantee it remains water resistant it may have to sent back to the manufacturer or an approved repairer.

In my wife's case this took 6 weeks!

Send it off and use a cheaper watch for the hols.

The OP went on holiday a long time ago, check the dates :)

It's only worth sending back to the manufacturer if it's a decent brand and worth doing - sadly, hilfiger (like other fashion brands) really is not...
