My understanding of fitness bootcamps are that they are extreme, can be unpleasant, and are nearly always expensive.

Have you considered a personal trainer? - You may get the same regimented system as you want from a fitness boot camp. - especially if you pick an ex-army lad!

Alternatively I can't remember the name of it but there's a running group in Hillsborough park that is supposed to be quite hardcore. Fit Britain or something like that.

Or try some of the more intensive martial arts! - Go to a boxing/kickboxing/other cardio driven striking art 5 times a week and you'll feel like bootcamp has been to you!!

Try British Military Fitness sessions

http://www.britmilfit.com

Prices are extortionate.

£26 a month for 1 class a week. That's £6.50 a class. Buying it in blocks is £100 for ten sessions with a £35 joining fee.

Seriously buy a pair of good running shoes and do it yourself with some mates.

Massive market here for a fitness professional to run their own sessions in the parks. Get all the insurance, first aid qualifications and you're on your way. Make it £50 for ten sessions, no commitment / contract, you'll have them banging on the door.

Agree with go4it. BMF seems expensive.

£34 a month for more than one class a week and £35 to join seems a lot.

I'd be interested to hear more of whoever runs sessions at Rother Valley if it's a fiver.

Try the classes that we run around the city, no contracts and very effective for fitness. You shift the wobbly pounds from your body and save the hard earned pounds in your bank account.

It's not cheap if you're only planning on doing one session a week, but not too bad if you go more often. £26 for 4 sessions a month is a lot, but £34 for up to 5 sessions a week is comparable to the gym I'd guess? And the joining fee is usually waived.
