Well the SURPRISE is still there, but the old Toads mouth dunt have the same impact reight back there...

Speaking of impact, 50 years of small debris from countless car mishaps in the gravel by the Surprise wall.

 

Over the wall there's beer bottles and Rizla paper packets. My son, amateur archeologist, even found some weed. He speculates it was all dumped before the cops came to check accidents.

if something is not plumb i still say its cockled over, only found out the other year from a non sheffielder there is no such word.

 

we used to say out of kilter if some thing was not plumb still do at times
