Transfering to a sd card

I'm using Win7 Ultimate.. just tried to format an existing disk and it only gives me the option of NTFS.... (obviously I just went through the motions to see what options it gave me)

right click on sd card then on format

gives you three

ntfs

fat32

xfat

Well there must be some files missing from your windows

cant think of any other reason

unless Ultimate does not have this

Windows 7 will format an external partition to FAT32, as long as it's 32GB or less

Try a smaller card (2Gb) to start with if you're not sure.

As they come free with phones you can find them almost anywhere.

Or format the card in the tablet and plug the tablet into the PC if you can and see if it will see the card.

There's a size limit on the FAT32 formats you can do

Windows 7 will format an external partition to FAT32, as long as it's 32GB or less

Seems like we're going in circles here, the problem is the 32GB limit on FAT32.

Larger memory cards or sticks are very common now, and it's pretty annoying that Windows will only do those in NTFS or exFAT.

But a 3rd party app can solve that, and you can use it again in a bunch of other devices.
