Andy   10 #2 Posted November 7, 2011 The Olympic Torch will be arriving in Sheffield from Leeds on 25 June 2012 and leaving for Cleethorpes the following day.  Will you be going to see it?  Or don't you care?
 Share this content via...

samstar999 Â Â 10 #4 Posted November 7, 2011 Don't care - in fact, yes I DO care that we are wasting squillions of quid on two weeks. Â Thank GOD I don't live in London.
 Share this content via...
Andy   10 #5 Posted November 7, 2011 Thank GOD I don't live in London.  Sadly I do and I am dreading it. So are all my colleagues, we're having to draw lots to see who can take their two week's leave during the Olympics!
 Share this content via...
BettyBooHoo! Â Â 10 #6 Posted November 7, 2011 What a waste of money. Why we wanted to spend millions hosting this when the country is going down the swanny is beyond me.
 Share this content via...
AndrewC Â Â 270 #7 Posted November 7, 2011 What a waste of money. We should all be holed up in grey cells eating bread and water. Anything more than that is a waste of our council tax. Bloody planners/muslims.
 Share this content via...
love_rat   10 #8 Posted November 7, 2011 Has anyone done a risk assessment on this torch?  What if someone accidently gets burnt?  I can see some compensation claims going in
 Share this content via...
Resident   1,126 #9 Posted November 7, 2011 I agree with the whole waste of money. The one thing that annoys me is that the country already has facilities suitable for Olympic use. They just needed a spruce up which would have cost a lot less than building new ones, which after a couple of years will just be a dilapidated. Iron Feliks   10 #11 Posted November 7, 2011 The London Olympics are like the London Dome. An excuse for cleaning up a contaminated and filthy area of London at the expense of the taxpayers across the UK.  Meanwhile similarly challenged areas outside of London are left to rot.
