"Big school" school application Help!!!

Recommended Posts

They have to accept however many % of kids that aren't catholic and haven't been baptised at All Saints, seen as they aren't allowed a totally catholic school.

My son got in 2 years ago and we are Christians not Catholic but we put down a very good case in our supporting letter eg it's a sports academy - he was on all the school sports teams at primary school - All Saints second specialist subject is maths - which our son was over excelling at as well and we put all about how we thought the Catholic ethos of the school was what we were looking for. We also got a letter of support from our church.

Last year leaders from our church applied for their kid and he didn't get in.................... I think the difference was our supporting letter re why we wanted him to go there.

We've decided after much thought and consideration to move , we'll be moving in the next month or so. We're moving to S11 so the catchment schools are likely to be High Storrs and Silverdale. My questions are:

How likely is it to get a place in either of these school as our address isn't in S11 when the application is submitted, but will be when the decision is made?

How do I go about sending our change of address details to the admissions bored, and what do I need to send?

Will they accept the change of address and therefore grant more "points" to the application for being in the catchment area?

The schools aren't the only reason for the move but a factor in the choice.
