Hair stuck in back of throat...help!

Recommended Posts

If it is a hair, it may be trapped between a couple of back teeth and dangling down. It's difficult to see why it would still be there otherwise. As others have mentioned, the sensation of a foreign body can be quite false, especially after a scratch from a fish bone for example, or when you have an ulcer. Dental mirrors tend to make one throw-up if you put them in too far, but it's worth a look with a torch, so long as you don't drop it!

Have you seen it? Of course, if you meant 'hare' then follow the same procedure as one would for removing a rabbit!

Just spoke to The_Shark...she managed to get a doctor's appt...they don't think it is a hair but rather related to a rampant ear infection for which she now has antibiotics...all being well it should resolve itself in a few days.

I thought it was unlikely: most hairs that get stuck in-between teeth are short and curly, so unlikely to reach that far down! :hihi:

Did you get the hair out

You seriously bumped a 12 year old thread to ask that?

1. It's Sheffield forum, nobody is going to notice.

2.  I am worried for OP's safety, what if he grew more hairs.
