DVLA - does anyone know if you can speak to a human being at the DVLA?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to speak to someone at DVLA rather than a recorded message? The automated system doesn't answer my very complicated query

Even if you go in and see them I'm not sure they are human?

why dont you goto the DVLA office in sheffield, its just off ecclessall road turn right just before the vauxhaul dealership and take your second right and its on your left handside, it has its own carpark so you should be ok.

They are Welsh.

I rest my case.

I'm not sure if they are Welsh in the Sheffield Office, but they did sound funny!!

I spoke to someone the other day. I can't remember what buttons I pressed though, sorry.

Maybe if you just don't press anything, it will redirect you to an operator.

Shame on companies with these automated voice recordings, As far as I am concerned that counts as ZERO customer service.

Companies used to have offices in town or somewhere that you could actually go to, and speak to someone at the desk.

I used to insure my car through Swiftcover; Try finding their contact telephone number through their website...It isn't easy.

I tried about a month ago, and got 20 minutes of crap music after 6 'choose this option for' menus, and was eventually allowed to speak to a human who sounded quite normal.

Is there some sort of business tie-up here with the phone companies?

You hang on for 20 minutes and the phone company charges you, and the organisation doesn't need so many people to answer the phones as you're listening to music, not talking to them? :suspect:

I always seem to get through to an operator within a few minutes and they sound human.
