Claret   10 #3 Posted April 6, 2012 Following on from the success of 'A Day in the Life of a Sheffield Appetite', Clare and Ros of Appetite have already planned a 'small appetite' event in the form of a Cake Break on Saturday 5 May, as part of M.S. Awareness Week.  The M.S Society is very close to Ros’ heart as her mum has had M.S. for over 25 years. Wanting to help promote awareness of the condition, Appetite is proud to be hosting this event. After all it was helping her mum with the cooking that sparked Ros’ love of food.  Focusing on producers in the Sheffield area, there will be cakes, muffins and brownies from Komal of Fusion Organic Cafe, Honey Pie Tearoom, Heavenlies, Thelma’s Café, Cat Lane Bakery, My Honeybunch Cake Pops, #Brownies and Spoon Café Bistro amongst others donated by family and friends (all of whom Appetite have tried and tested!).  As there's nothing better than a piece of cake and a cuppa, the event will be held at independent coffee shop Tamper Coffee (on Westfield Terrace) who have kindly donated their premises. Along with Jonathan at Tamper's amazing coffee selection, there will be tea provided by Kirsty of Tea Box and both of them will be there to help you pair up your cake and your cuppa. There may also be chance to taste some new experimental varieties; designed especially for the event.  There is no need to book a place at this event and you can drop into Tamper at any time between 12 and 3 on Saturday 5 May for your cuppa and cake fix. All profits from the cake sales will go to the MS Society making these cakes practically guilt free!  For more information check out the Appetite website at http://www.appetite-sheffield.co.uk.
