Feedback for Jonathon of JF Plumbing - got details from this site and used for a leaking water cylinder. Was prompt, reasonable, explained things clearly. He fixed ongoing problem which others had failed to and also gave me some advice for maintenance issues connected to the cylinder which didn't benefit him (i.e. he advised me it would be best going to manufacturers as likely covered by guarantee). Some recycling centres have places for book (and CD donations) e.g. the one at B&Q Queen's Road has a self-dispose unit for books for British Heart Foundation one while Tesco Abbeydale Road has both BHF and Oxfam one. Robin

I can recommend Steve (corgigasman - search on this site for details) for gas/central heating/plumbing jobs. Removed two radiators and fitted new radiator; fitted new tap. Also did two other small jobs. Quote was in clear and in writing and quickly delivered, work done to a good standard for very reasonable price as detailed. Will be using again.

Thanks for recommendations for Bows Garage - took car for full service there after reading this page and was as suggested - reasonable, friendly and reliable. Had a problem with passenger side door lock - they looked at but because it will be expensive to fix gave me three options and didn't charge for looking at it as they didn't repair it. Will be returning.

Thanks for this recommendation (and others below who recommended Slaters). Had got one other quote from company wasn't sure about then came on this forum and went with Slaters on basis of this and other recommendations. Had an 8am appointment, they arrived at 7.55, gave me options clearly then did work within 40 minutes. Decent price and guarantee also given. Highly recommended.
