How did school fail to identify child with dyslexia
Mud Lover replied to stuartbuild's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
You are right. Only people from the Dyslexia Action Group (Previously Dyslexia Institute) and Educational Psychologists can diagnose Dyslexia but it can be picked up by other people who refer to it as Dyslexic type difficulties or Dyslexic tendancies. It doesnt always make a difference to the teaching a child receives whether or not they have this diagnosis, as an experienced teacher would use a multi sensory approach, plenty of over learning etc and would focus on the things that your child needs as a matter of good practice. -
Heeley bridge garage - broadfield road 1993 - 1996 ??
Mud Lover replied to Mud Lover's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
I worked in the Body Shop and did my YTS there before moving on, I remember Stuart Hicks who I bump into now and then, Saul, Beaver, Mick Bullock who I'd love to bump ino agian for a chat, Shoie?? not sure on spelling or his real name - a wiz with cars though, numerous names already mentioned from the work shop and offices. - Mrs B's!!!! Good times but somewhat better now.... left motor trade behind! MAYBE WE SHOULD ORGANISE A H.B.G REUNION!........ OH, Paul in valet bay, Steve Bayliss who joined a few months before I left, Denise in reception, Jane and Betty upstairs.... that chap who worked at a 1000 miles an hour in parts... another Mick I think! -

In my opinion, they are the ones where the Super Tram cuts across the road at the top of Ridgeway Road towards Manor Top. Yes it makes sense to stop 10 to 20 cars to allow a vitually empty Super Tram through as a priority... ???? But these lights still change to red all through the day and night.... why ...?? Even at 4 in the morning they still hold you there for ages for no reason what so ever, the nearest tram must be miles away in a shed or where ever they live SO I THROW THE FLOOR OPEN FOR YOUR SIMILAR SUGGESTIONS AND WHY THEY ARE POINTLESS.

Poles at Bowshaw Roundabout...
Mud Lover replied to Mud Lover's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
re the sheets going up and comin down again.... did no one realise that the gap for the footpath would be a floor to the design.... and how much will this have cost US? tut tut.... maybe we can make them into huge metal sun flowers. they would be as pointless but much nicer to look at. -
Someone must know, why have 'they' erected a series of poles at the bottom of the dual carriageway down from the moat house at Bowshaw roundabout.... ??:confused:

I have been following your story too and wish your son the very best of luck, for now and his future x x -
We have used these twice in past few years and they were good both times.
