  1. In July, I will be volunteering as a teacher at the Ruhanga Development School in South West Uganda. http://www.ruhangadevelopmentschool.com/ Does anyone have any disused laptops that they would like to donate so I can take them over with me? If you would like to donate then here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/ruhangaschool Registered UK Charity number: 1150023

  3. I didn't say it was - i just wondered whether or not it was. Can you honestly say that you didn't wonder whether it might have been a terrorist attack? I was thinking it was a possibility before i read the name of the shooter. When i read the name it certainly made me think the chances of it being a terrorist attack were more likely as most terrorists around the world who are killing americans are muslim.
  4. this is great, i love it how wound up some people get by other peoples incompitence, and the lengths they will go to in order to vent their frustrations. i look forward to browsing the site
  5. As his name sounded like an Islamic name, i did wonder, as soon as i had read his name, if he was infact Muslim, and if therefore this was some form of islamic terrorist attack.
  6. not only do we not have to think for ourselves anymore, but we don't have to be responsible for our actions. You can always shift the blame on to your parents, the government, or the TV. It seems to make life easy for anyone who completely this way of life completely i.e. nothing to think about ever. For any who see the marketing and censored media for brain washing that it is, they are constantly frustrated as their rights to think for themselves diminish. Sometimes I like to go into consumer mode (especially when on holiday by the beach, or when i'm drunk). These is when I buy anything that is offered to me. If i hear a marketing jingle and it makes me feel anything at all, then i will immediately indulge that feeling. These days can be very relaxing, and often a lot of fun. However, they do nothing for my personal development both mentally and especially financially.
  7. The percentage of users in favour of the BNP is very disturbing, i think we can thank New Labour for a lot of these ill feelings. The war on terror seems to have drastically increased the level of Islamophobia. The state of the economy, unemployment, and the immigration problems may have induced the idea of looking after our own (white working class) before looking after others (immigrants) in some people. The tories can't be the answer, so what is? I suppose that should be another thread really.
  8. My family has lived in Sharrow for 19 years. It is as safe as any city centre neighbourhood can be. There are gangs of youths commiting acts of anti social behaviour, but i don't know many areas without this. There are people from different cultures, this makes the area vibrant and interesting. There are junkies, so you will probably get burgled every now and then if you're not careful. Muggings do take place, so be a bit street wise when walking around after dark. Don't walk alone when possible, choose a safe route, don't hang about, don't flash cash or mobiles etc.
  9. I wasn't surprised to see Griffin behaving like any other politician when he was under the hammer. He avoided questions, lied and squirmed same as gthe rest of them. Unfortunately, i think the one sided manner of show will not help convince people sat on the fence that the BNP is evil, it will more than likely push them in favour of the BNP, as a protest against the nashing gang of "lefties". The scary part is the obvious fact that the BNP is gaining popularity within the UK. If you are angered by his appearance and disgusted by his parties beliefs, be ready to take action when the BNP start leafleting your area. This will not happen easily in Sheffield, an anti BNP stronghold, but it is possible.
  10. i heard it was a meth amphetamine factory that exploded
  11. this thread is great. never heard of pete before but love his stuff. never heard of John Shuttleworth either - top notch
  12. i often follow people out of the lift at my apartment, assuming im on my floor, and try and let myself into the apartment that would be mine if it was to floors up.
  13. if you have to ask then you wouldn't be welcome...not cool enough.
  14. I think people need to relax - i'm sure she's not about to copy and paste the above responses and hand it in as her assignment. Though that would probably get you a pass on most university courses these days.
