  1. Does anyone have a phone number for the Rose and crown? The 2812142 number quoted on all websites is coming up unobtainable.
  2. Have you thought about using a Mckenzie Friend. They help at a much lower hourly cost. Look up http://www.yourmckenziefriend.org.uk. They are experienced ex lawyers based in Sheffield.
  3. Did the scumbags come back? Hope they got what they deserve!!!
  4. I live in Crosspool and commuted by car to Manchester from 1999 to 2007. I worked on Whitworth St West and then next to Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Train is a pain because of time it takes to get to station at either end. Parking can also be an issue at Dore. Best way is over the Snake and on a good day I could do the journey in about an hour. On a bad day it could be 2 hours. The main problems are Glossop, either end of M67 (depending on which you are travelling) and then getting into Mcr city centre. There are ways around which unfortunately can also be busy but do help. Also it can help to cycle part way - I used to park at Denton. I now work from home. To be honest, didn't mind the commute at first but it did start to become a pain as the years went by. Happy to talk in more detail if you think it would help.
  5. Cheers - It was my wife's favourite jewellery shop! Really good if stuck for a present.
  6. Thanks for that. But does anyone know if they went out of business or moved to another location under another name?
  7. Rare and Racy bookshop on division Street had a poster on wall showing locations where all bombs dropped. Worth calling in and asking if they have copies for sale.
  8. Bought mine from Fruit Appeal at Broomhill - £29 delivered
  9. Anyone know what happened to them. Shop closed for refurbishment about Jan time but never reopened? Could always get something a bit different there.
  10. Son had his car nicked last week. Luckily, he managed to find it - phoned Police and they wanted £120 to come and tow it away. At this stage he didn't know how bad it was so wouldn't pay. They said only way they would investigate was if he paid the money. We got it brought home with our breakdown cover - Poice not interested.
