  1. It's border view farm in Bradway. Definitely would not recommend it. They have some nice horses but some that are dangerous. I've ridden a few of their horses, one jumped straight off the main road with me, I have friends who have come off on the road on horses from there and they don't take very good care of them. They never had insurance when I was there either. Definitely look for a private loan.
  2. http://www.yell.com/s/farmers-s8.html I think it's the top one on here. They often have a waiting list but are really lovely people so it's worth a try.
  3. I part loaned a pony from her age. Loved it, kept me out of trouble, fit and happy!
  4. Newfield is a nice little yard but the turnout is rubbish. Hardly any land at all and it's really, really pricey for what it is. From the Ecclesall Road/Nether Edge area there's quite a few yard. There's the Birches at Owler Bar nice new stables, smallish outdoor school, mid-price range, Anne Barbers in Dore really good summer turnout, alright winter turnout, big indoor school, horse walker, cheapish, Katie Farnsworths also in Dore big outdoor, nice stables, but horses are in at night year round I think, Hazelbarrow at Norton which has 24/7/365 turnout, school, XC course, decent prices, Bradway Grange has nice big stables, good hacking once you're off the main road, all year turnout but it's not great. Avoid Border View which is next door if I were you. Theres Cordwell in Holmesfield too, very nice yard, nice woman who runs it http://www.liveryatcordwell.co.uk/aspx003/article.aspx?CID=6&SID=cfe8c849-745a-47e8-a093-9696262f7259. And theres Stubley Hollow in Dronfield which also has a website if you google it. I've been on a few of these yards, don't want to say a lot on here but if you want more info feel free to PM me.
  5. Anne Barbers is nice, great hacking, nice indoor school and really good turnout! It's big, but not massive. Theres about 25 horses, some owners own more than one. Anne's getting on a bit now so she's not very hands on these days. It's all DIY but I think the horses do all get fed in the mornings in winter. Pretty reasonable price, around £100 a month I think. Stubley has good facilities, hacking id alright, bit of roadwork but there are some really good rides round there! The yard at Owler Bar is nice too, small school though. Stables are lovely. Not sure about the atmosphere or anything there, but I think it's quite expensive. Border View - Avoid!! I'd never recommend it. Bradway Grange next door is nice enough, big indoor stables but the turnout isn't great. A yard has just reopened in Dore, called Newfield. Looks pretty nice, quiet but a bit pricey. They have a facebook page, just search newfield stables. Hope that helps a bit!
  6. Sorry, it's Valley Road. The shop is called "steves convinience store", thats why i referred to it as steves. I wasnt very clear in my first post, sorry.
  7. Anyone know whats happened outside steves shop? The roads shut off and looks like something's going on there...
  8. Burst water pipe thingy on Albert Road. It's been reported and i can see them working on it now. ETA: This was on old thread before the poster above me...
  9. I'm looking for someone for my 15hh welsh D, might be a little small for you.. let me know if you want to know anymore
  10. My brother got attacked walking through Nether Edge because he is white. The gang of asian lads told him to "get out of our area".
  11. Not my choice.. I have to say though, id rather be here than nether edge after all the trouble we've had round there
