  1. Never actually thought about it. I may do next time if it's going to cost me a lot in travel/hotel.
  2. not a particularly quick snack... but sliced potatoes (about 1cm thick slices) with splashes of relish on top, then fried/roasted, with cheese added for the final minute to melt on, then more relish on top. Takes about half an hour, but tastes good.
  3. I guess it's a bit frustrating... but new job applications often end up costing. In two months I've been to interviews in Manchester, Hull and Gatwick. I wouldn't be too bothered about the £23 when I add up the fuel and hotel costs, providing I got a job eventually. If you had to pay it for every job you applied for, and still didn't get a job, it would be a bit much, as Paul said. You'd make that £23 back on your first day of work
  4. My parents have been going with friends to the Royal Victoria now for the last few years and say it's fantastic. Personally it never appealed to me, so a group of about 10 of us do the same thing each year, one person hosts the evening and cooks up shed loads of food (some kind of theme, be it curry, or chinese etc) then after we eat, we get very drunk and go out to watch the fireworks, then come back in and drink til it's all gone
