  1. aww...ok Well you know where we are now at least. Was really good last night.
  2. I'm sure you'll be welcome back anytime Farmboy. I started in 1997 so will have missed you.
  3. yup Yup, the one and only. Did you train at the London Rd Club. I miss it:mad:
  4. Thanks Farmboy, We now train at Endcliff United Reform Church opposite Hallam Tennis Club and Endcliff Park on Ecclesall Road. Is it sport Wado ryu that we grade in but the instructor(3rd Dan) is from a traditional background. Wednesday Night 7-8 mixed grades 8-9 Blue and above £4 one hour £5 two hours feel free to PM me Emma
  5. im 23 but all those years ago when i was going through this process i put King Ecgberts as first choice and newfield as last (i was in their catchment area) we appealed and i got to go to King Ecgberts. I can't remember what reason my mum put but I;m pretty sure it was something as simple and my best friend was going to King Ecgberts. As your son has what may be discribed as a disability, King Ecgbert would be a good choice...they have/have what they called the Resource with specialist staff to help kids out with thier various difficulties. Good Luck
  6. when i was there mrs winters was the music teacher and the art teachers were mr and mrs williams!
  7. maybe she did? what is her name? i trained with loads of partners over the years... stan used to teach around manchester as well as his thursday night class in sheffield...i don;t know where he is now...maybe out hilsborough way!?
  8. Thanks, I did think about getting the bus or more likely...the train. I'd be working out on site and would require a car for that...though not neccesarily everyday. This is why I am trying to establish how long it would take to drive to Rotherham centre though. Should hopefully find out if I have an interview or not in the next few days as the deadline was almost a week ago...:-/
  9. hello...think they may have accpeted my application....so 20-40 minute commute you say...SOUNDS LIKE HEAVEN!! :-) no plans for any large scale roadworks are there? would my best route be up the parkway? thanks for the advice guys!
  10. I wish to thank you all for the info you have provided! Unfortunately because of the workload and several urgent matters raising their heads at my current job I did not have time to get my application form in by noon today :-( therefore I will not be working in Rotherham....the job was at Bailey House though..near the station I believe. So I will be continiuing with the daily communte to Nottingham...twice as long as the journey to Rotherham by the sounds of things.... Thanks again guys n girls
  11. Hi All, I wonder if any of you commute from Sheffield to Rotherham say to get there for 9am and leave at 5pm? I am thinking of applying for a job with Rotherham Council for which I would be based in the centre of Rotherham, and I live in the centre of Sheffield. An info on what the journey is like at peak times would be very much appreciated, as would any estimations on journey time. I am told by the 'AA Route Planner' that the distance between my home and the centre of Rotherham is 8.6 miles and the drive would take 18mins....though I'm not convinced that this would be the case in reality. I would need my car for work which puts commuting by train out of the picture (for the majority of working days anyway). Thanking you in anticipation:) Emma
  12. this class doesn't run anylonger....the rent was too high:mad: the class is now on a wed at endcliff united reform church just past hunter bar roundabout-opposite the tennis club. the youngest students there are about 12 though so may not be suitable for a 5 yr old.
