  1. Details from Facebook: Our good friends Dog has gone missing tonight (09/05/3013) she is called Pixie a English bullterrier cross Staffordshire 2 years old. White with a black marking over one eye. Last seen in Norfork Park Sheffield at 6.30pm today, Please like, share and do all you can, we need to keep our eyes and ears open!!! Reward for a speedily and safe recovery please don't hurt this dog! Have a heart Xx thanks friends x Hope this link works direct to the facebook share: Please help this beautiful lil girl to get home. Red x
  2. I personally love Staffies and am saddened to see so many in the rescue centres. They literally are full to bursting. I've just rescued a gorgeous 3 year old female staffy from the council pound and the really nice lady was telling me how the majority of dogs they have and always get in are unwanted staffies ans staffy crosses. Please try to talk your neighbour out of breeding. There's just too many already.
  3. I still don't understand why or how people can get rid of a dog due to a new baby! I've had 2 children since I bought my 2 staffies over 12 years ago. My oldest staffie passed away just over a year ago but he loved the kids and they too loved him to bits. The dogs were still taken for walks, interacted with the babies and both kids and dogs were taught boundries etc. They were absolutely fine! Anyways back onto topic... I would've homed this lil girl if it wasn't for my own staffie girl being so poorly. The rainbow bridge is getting brighter with each passing day and I don't want her to witness a new doggy coming home as if she is being replaced. I really do hope she finds a loving home soon xxx
  4. I'll pick some up from the shop on Northern Avenue next week. I can then pop some in our local shops etc in Hackenthorpe, Frechville, Birley, in and around work in the city centre too. xx
  5. I'm in hackenthorpe hun so will keep an eye out. Have you called the dog warden, sheffield pound etc to see if she's been picked up already? x
  6. If that staffy had a harness on I saw it Friday morning plodding down Birley Spa lane near Hogs Head Pub. Couldn't stop though as I was on the school run in the car. So if it was the same one it had been out for some time. You did the right thing Chin Wag it's just unfortunate the owner didn't think so too. I would have been very grateful just to know my dog was safe and I could go get her!
  7. Sorry to hear you pet care has fallen through at the last minute. Croft Farm Kennels are highly recommended on here, you could give them a try? Croft Farm Kennels are in Aston - 07542 236615 Fingers crossed for you and good luck with your charity mission! Red x
  8. Upon checking google only a 3 for 2 offer comes up but it could save you money. Assuming you're going with a friend, so if you buddy up with someone in the queue i'm sure they'll help so one of you can get in free or even split the cost 3 ways evenly which you all will benefit from. http://www.yorkshire.com/offers/Flamingo-Land-Theme-Park-and-Zoo-/207 Hope it helps.
  9. Poor lad!! When you say "they been ringing" who's they? The vet's? Hope he's ok xx
  10. If there's no urine at all coming out when she goes out then your next call must be to the vets. Sounds very much like she has a blockage and the "sad look" in her eyes may be pain that she is in. My dog had similar symptoms and it turned out to be a tumour. Hope your lil one is ok xx
  11. Any news on this guy? Really hoping he hasn't been PTS....
  12. So sorry for your loss. Please don't have this guy put to sleep. Can anyone help? I'd have him but I have a major op on the 16th, an 11yr old spayed female staffy, 2 kids and a cat. Would rather be at home to assess him and introduce him properly to the pack as it were, as there are usually teething problems with bringing a new doggy home and I won't be well for a number of weeks. Can anyone take him in? xx
  13. Hi Eleanor hunni, Sorry to hear you are having problems with one of your lil doggies. Some very good advice on here, so nothing to add really apart from a cuddle ((cuddle)) Just to let you know the white Boxer went back home to his mummy and had been missing for a while.... xx
