Serious legal action needed against car owners who park on pavements
Farslad replied to rogets's topic in General Discussions
I get your point in some cases. Where I live everyone has a garage and a drive...most double drives. I do see both sides though. Many streets/houses were built when there was a lot less traffic on the roads than there is now. -

I see women with pushchairs/prams having to go onto a busy road near me because they can't get by on the pavement due to parked cars. Some selfish self centred folk about. -
Anyone know of anything going off today (Friday) dinnertime? I can see there is stuff on in Leopold Sq. from 1pm...anything else? I fancy a couple of pints and some music in the sun this dinnertime

I’ve started using the car again. 6 people in my office travel in by bus. 4 of them have gone back to using the car since the changes and one of the two still using the buss doesn’t drive. Total shambles.

I've been twice. Not impressed either time. He would sell his soul that bloke. Cooks with Knorr stock pots? Sure.

I remember reading it cover to cover when I was a lad. That and Melody Maker. When they were in the newspaper format. Then it seemed to go glossy magazine like and within a couple of years wasn't much different to the likes of Smash Hits. Hardly surprising it is all but dead. The internet combined with the way it tried to reposition itself in the market meant it was always going to go downhill. They should have stayed with what they were a good at a few years back, took a bit of a hit on the circulation, and still existed. With the rise in vinyl sales I think that format/brief would be a success. No going back though. Any credibility was lost at least a couple of decades ago. If it is even remotely like it was the last time I seen a copy then free is too expensive.

Great, thanks for that.

Hi folks Got some people visiting this weekend and they have asked about car boot sales this Sunday. Browsing this thread it seems to be pretty fragmented posts asking about specifics for certain events. Is there a definitive list of active car boots for this weekend in Sheffield/South Yorks anywhere online? Ta in advance.

Burger experts to the rescue! Binding agent - what do I use?
Farslad replied to vipguy's topic in Sheffield Foodies
I use breadcrumbs and egg usually. My other half is currently avoiding anything bready. So instead of breadcrumbs I recently used mushrooms chopped small and fried off. Worked a treat and tasty also. -
First bus left girl at bus stop.

Let's turn those tables back again. I commend you for your approach. I am also like yourself and courteous, polite and friendly to bus driver when I use the bus at least twice a day. However, you don't always get it back. I wouldn't even call them grumpy, or rude, but just inanimate. I get a weekly pass. I show said pass and some don't give any indication at all that they have seen it, its is valid, it is in date etc. Not even a slight nod. So I stay stood there showing them and then they turn on me. I'm not a mind reader. Like anything like this it is a minority, but it is still quite a few of them. I get the 52. I would say about 20% of drivers have a real problem with passengers. And I get why. But I'm not one of those passengers. As for the main slant of the thread I suspect there are elements of the truth in there but also a bit of stretching the truth from the kid for one reason or another. -
I don't give a monkeys if they are safe or not. What I don't want is someone filling my air space all day long with what smells like a toilet air freshener or at best cheap children's sweets.

Queen to hand out Maundy money at Easter In Sheffield
Farslad replied to PeteMorris's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
She has been to Sheffield quite a few times. If you Google 'Sheffield City Council Royal Visit Guide' there is a document that lists all royal visits from 1806 onwards.
