hi I also support what the OP has said as ive met and become friends with some Iranian people in the past who are very friendly and likeable and it would be great if we could find a community of them to get to know and they can learn English, farsi sounds like a difficult language aswell as Arabic but fair play to the OP who wants to learn the language. aswell as Iranian people I have found Kurdish people to be very friendly and have grown to love the Kurdish culture. good luck to the OP hope you find what your looking for

hi as far as I know sightseeing buses r very expensive, I know the London ones charge about £18, your much better off going on a normal bus and looking at the sights that way, if u r gonna plan to do this please note that you cant pay for buses in London when u board, you can get special contactless travel cards from train stations, some bus stops have machines where you can buy tickets before boarding but not all bus stops have them or alternatively you can use your train ticket on buses.

hi guys y don't u try meet ups.com there very good, plenty of groups in sheff and surrounding areas, city socialising isn't very good cos u have to pay so ive never tried it but ivc have got a group in sheff and so have nexus, google them to find them happy hunting

nicotrod a good idea is maybe if you and your partner form a group that way ppl can join it and go on socials get to know each other. ive been on the Sheffield forum socials and they tend to dry up after a few meets ppl get bored, so praps form your own social group its worth a try

the description of the man sounds familiar, I was approached twice by a man fitting this description and each time he would tell me hes homeless and needs money, once in the city centre and once on London road. he was allways very polite wanting to shake my hand, never displayed any sexual interest in me, not sure if its the same man but just wanted to let ppl know

hi ive been to nether edge plenty of times and find it very nice area but i dont class the abbeydale road part to be nether edge. to me nether edge is by chelsea road/nether edge road near the byron pub and union pub which r the best parts and these parts r the best in sheffield, even when i plan to move i shall still come to visit nether edge, i would deff recommend renting in these parts but try and avoid the abbeydale road part, good luck

ive been in sheffield 2 years and really love sheffield, its a lovely place with lovely people, and the parks r beautiful and the fact its near the peaks is even better.

i think brisk walking is very good and also add a bit of running but not to much as to much running wont do ur knees any good, good luck xxx
