  4. Hi Sarah You could try the Sheffield Martial arts center run by Mark Hayes on Shoreham street near the United ground Classes monday Wed & Thurs 19:00 onwards, pop in and have a chat Mark
  5. try the beginners class in JKD/Boxing/Kickboxing at the source near Meadowhall Mondays and Thursday from7pm
  6. try the JKD bigginners session at the source at meadowhall, you will not get hurt, very good for CV work, go at your own pace and inspires motivation in you and your partner Mon 7 - 915 Bginners 7-745 Wed 7-830 Thurs 7-915 Beginners 7-745 walking is good for you, but at time motivation is the biggest killer in keeping fit. i am rubbish at the gym thing, hate all that treadmill thing, i get bored, and there is always something new at the class to learn.
  7. there is one near the fire station in the city centre, not sure what it is called
  8. what kind of thing are we talkin here, what type of circuit? i have done the 45 min session at the fitness club in sheffield the on across from the library, what else can you offer, cos that was nonstop
  9. WickerCamp is clearly the best place to be in the area for Thai, i have been down there and intend to go again, the place is brilliant and the training is second to none, and i have one of the best instructors in the area in Mark Hayes JKD/Kail/Escrima/Grappling The source Meadowhall Mon Wed Thurs Mark B
  10. makes a mockery of those of us that train hard for our art/MA and gives those instructors that try and build a club based on real skill very hard. No wonder some parents expect gradings and passes considering the money they have to part with.
  11. it was a bad experience, the doorman was probably not impressed that you gave him a bit of verbal, he was young and maybe wanted to make a point, and as stated above, you had a number of witnesses
  12. hi guys very interesting thread, i don;t think doormen can win to be honest and the current rules from what i hear limit what they can do anyway. I train with Mark Hayes at the Source gym in JKD/Kali etc and he works at the Rhino and to be honest, it sounds as though he has to deal with alot of crapm from people who cannot handle the old beer. just out of interest, i am looking to get my SIA badge, currently not in work so funds are a bit thin, anyone have any idea where i may be able to get funding from, even temporarily:-)
  13. any idea where the sheffield boxing centre is , or where the nearest one to me is, i am in Rotherham and travel to the Source to train in JKD, i am looking to do some boxing
