  1. Agreeing too!! Best little dogs in my opinion!
  2. thanks for the replies, My dad is set in his ways that he wants that one and that one only our house is completely floorboarded and with lino in the kitchen and conservatory so I think the smell of wee is sticking to the floorboards and we want something to try and get rid of it to deter the dogs from going in one particular spot. We've tried so many and I think the safe4 ones we've tried too but I'll browse their site and have a look just to double check. We're not sure why else they would be going in one particular spot, we've never had puppy pads there or anything so maybe it's just a habit? anyway thanks for all the advice!!
  3. I'm trying to identify a really old pink disinfectant, it's called something like "reodo" and it smells like bubble gum.. I've googled and googled and cant find anything that shows up to identify it, my dad used to get it with our old dog years and years ago and he's convinced its still made but I cant find it, I was hoping someone would shed some light on the name we need a proper strong disinfectant because the ones we're buying from PAH aren't working right, we don't think they're strong enough.
  4. I can see both sides here .. I understand your daughter was sore and uncomfy and a child of her age will get irritated with things like that and not realize the world can be a horrible place with sick people in the world. I also see from the security guards point of view that if he see's a child exposing themselves then he must feel like he's got a duty to say something, you never know who is wandering around shopping with you and theres some sick twisted people around and maybe he thought he was doing good? I very much doubt he intentionally tried to make you feel like you did but I can also imagine it's a tough subject for a grown up man to have to mention to someone.
  5. Mange and all sorts, our old jack cross caught mange from a fox and suffered for months with it
  6. I think it's a lovely idea, if I had the money to do so, I really would. as mentioned before it would kill me if I accidentally lost it so I don't think I would wear it out or anything but have it safe as a keepsake of their memory. We buried our past dogs in the garden and then you feel the guilt of when you move house that you're leaving them behind and when you have them cremated at the vet it's like it's so sudden and you cant say goodbye properly. I know a lot of people have boxes with their pets ashes in.
  7. We're with Petplan, we've stayed with them at the moment with our pups, we originally had 2 jack russells that turned out to be on deaths door, one sadly passed away and our girl lived through it with a long stay at a specialist vet. Their bill individually came to around 2-3k each and pet plan paid up for both, the only thing they didn't pay for was our boys death due to us not having a receipt of purchase. We got another jack and sadly he took a turn for the worse and ended up with a week stay at our local vet and they paid up for his illness too, his bill was reaching a grand. although I hear a lot of bad stuff about pet plan I think from my experience of them paying out it shows that they can't be all that bad, not to mention that this insurance was the 4 weeks free given by the vets. Forgot to mention the price lol our 2 this year are costing on average £40a month for insurance which we think is really good considering their illness, we was expecting a lot more!
  8. Ive recently got a foam matteress from Ikea, quite sturdy and not a bad price really, I know for the bed I got I needed 2single mattresses and I could choose which ones,it was theses ones or even firmer ones. - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20150630
  9. I remember years ago, I was walking my dog with my mum and this woman took our photo without our knowledge, I found out when we was in the local magazine the next month advertising the new park features after several people said "oh I've seen you in ..." I don't like having my photo done and found it quite creepy that we didn't even see her and the fact she didn't ask permission yet when we contacted the local mag about this they said they could do it as they've not named anyone and we was in a public place..!
  10. I can understand the questions posed by the members here, I can see their viewpoint very well because the way you've written your post it's as if you're doing the same thing. I don't think it's a case of trolling. on to your friend.. I would ask him if he realizes this is your career and that you've got certain rules to follow which means he can't be lying to to you like that, If it was me, I would take it as a lesson learned and move on but in future just be very wary of any help he tries to give you regarding this.
  11. Thanks Lotti, you've given me more to think about having both of them quiet ill when they were younger they've spent time away from each other weeks at a time and now they really do miss each other when they do get the odd checkup, We've picked up on this and have been taking one in the garden and doing the sit's stay's etc so they are learning apart but I think it would be a good idea to have them go to classes separate but I gotta convince the parents too cos they've ultimately got the final word on the subject but I'm gunna do some nagging and see what I can do
  12. Gorgeous! was this girl on gumtree?? Recently seen a harlequin on there.
  13. Thanks for the link, very thoughtful but sadly it is too far, I'm down south now
