  1. As in the title really, does anyone have a copy of Thursday night's episode of House I could borrow? Forgot to tape it. Five apparently are having some rights problems with the shows owners and therefore no season 4 episodes are available to buy on their on demand internet service. House isn't available to buy on itunes either anymore so I can't seem to find any way of getting to watch it. I can't even find a release date for when you might be able to buy it in the shops even! Any help appreciated... must be some Heroes fans out there who taped it!!! I live in Walkley, would be good if I could collect it from somewhere nearby. Would return the video or could swap for a blank one or a DVD -R disc if that would be useful. Thank you for any help.
  2. I live in S6 3xx so I'll use that as my example. My understanding is that S6 3 has power supplied by at least 2 substations. One on Crookesmoore Road and one on Penistone Road. These substations are listed for potential power cuts at various times. But, I don't know which of these 2 powerstations provides power for my flat so I'll assume it could be either. And judging by the table my power could potentially be cut at any hour of the day
  3. Hope there's no one out there from 'S6 3 Crookesmoor Road'... you seem to be in groups 1b, 1c, 2a, 2b and 2c. That can't be good!
  4. Or you could try the estate agents websites if you want a visual representation: I can't post links yet but Blundells, Saxton Mee and Haybrook all show the post code areas. Just click on property search on their homepage.
  5. Well if you get in the Grindstone pub is 2 mins (if that) round the corner. We go to their pub quiz on a Tuesday so see you there!
  6. Hi Tamzin. Just to throw in my 2 pence... my girlfriend lived in Halifax last year and I used to come up most weekends to see her. It's a nice place with an alright bar and not too far from town (half hour walk I'd say) or uni. I also know a few people living there this year and they're loving it. She had lightening fast internet but I'm not too sure on the leaving stuff in the rooms business as she paid to have the room in the holidays. I should say though that all the people I know at Halifax have been in the en suite block and I'm not sure what the other rooms are like. And you can end up in any block I think. For what it's worth it probably doesn't matter too much which hall you choose... it'll be the people you end up meeting that make the difference. And as just about everyone I know thinks their hall is the best in the world ever (for me that's County in Lancaster!) you'll probably love wherever! I live in Walkley now and can definitely reccomend it for when you move out in your second year. Oh, and Sheffield's great - you'll love it here.
