  1. I am out of pocket because the benefit system pays me £17.00 per week and I had to travel 18 miles to the interview. it was located in a hotel that was at a motorway services.
  2. You are so right thank you, It was a recruitment agency that put me onto this job vacancy. Well he got his money.
  3. After ringing three times today and getting told the contact that interviewed me was busy and would ring me back, I received an e mail saying i was unsuccessful, so now out of pocket and lost another job opportunity. what a waste of time.
  4. Has anyone ever been headhunted for a job? I have, apparently they had my c.v.The job was no experience neccesary 1 weeks training, vehicle supplied £20.000 pa full time monday to friday. The job sounded so fantastic and too good to be true.I had an interview in a hotel lobby 8.15pm last week. To date I have not received any correspondance from them, So I have tried ringing the number they left on email and no one answers the phone when i call back. The email contained job description and a website for the company, so I have rang the company who answered but explained they was busy and would ring back in half an hour, That was 2 hours ago. I dont want to miss out on this job if its real but need to know if this is a scam from the job center to see if people are attending interviews.
  5. I am talking about the on-line applications. Through the likes of job sites. ---------- Post added 19-02-2014 at 12:17 ---------- As I am claiming benefits I have to be seen actively looking for work and must apply for as many jobs as are suitable but after one week all the jobs for my experience have all dried up so nothing available to apply for. I am unable to start my own business as I have no capital to start and also was bankrupt in the past.
  6. I hit a pot hole in Deerlands ave two years ago and my shock went up through my bonnet I tried to claim against council, took photos of pot hole and road conditions and my car. The council wrote back to me saying they are not at fault because they maintain their roads to a very high standard. needless to say my car had to be scrapped.
  7. I would admit some of the jobs in the 250 are no good for me but that's out of desperation. I have had a C.V professionally made.I am registered with all the job sites that the job center advises to which most are agency's. No other jobs are available on the net and I am not in a financial position now due to low income ( benefits of £17.34 a week ) to go traveling around to firms besides when I do go to firms they always say drop your c.v in to them. I understand that some employers get inundated with applications to which it would not hurt to have a automatic response to requests to say if you have not heard after 7 days consider yourself unsuccessful.
  8. I have applied for jobs that I have over 30 years experience fit all the criteria live within a short distance and have references that back all experience up yet still no acknowledgement. It winds me up.
  9. at least some acknowledgement to say that they have received my application.
  10. What is it with employers nowadays, I sent well over 250 applications out and only 2 replies. and they are agencies for jobs that don't exist:confused:
