Can you make calls from your mobile phone?
Bellacboy replied to El Robbo's topic in General Discussions
I love my phone. I've had it about 8 years. I once left it on the hob by mistake and some of the buttons are a bit melted and the face plate is badly buckled. It is held together with insulating tape. It still works except for the 0 button. If I write a text , I have to use full stops instead of spaces and I can only call people who's numbers I already have saved. I wouldn't dream of getting one of these new fancy ones! -
Wounded and disabled soldiers jeered at in swimming pool

Someone should have offered to chop her legs off and then she could go swimming for free too. -
What's your favourite euphemism for flatulating?
Bellacboy replied to Dozy's topic in General Discussions
distant fox, or a distant rabbit for a small one, distant wolf for a big one. If I say there's a wolf at the door, everyone knows to take cover! the turtle's breath is also a good one -
I'm from York, lived there until I was 18. I also remember the John Bull. It was a bit like walking into a public lavatory but still, what a great boozer. The Welly in Fishergate was one of my favourite pubs in York. Still only £1.20ish a pint I think.Good old Sam Smith. I live in France now but will be visiting York and the welly in the summer

Thanks for the advice. I ended up using meaks' recipe. It was nice but not sure I'd bother to do it again. I had to peel off the membrane and pick off some blood clots first which was a bit of a delicate procedure without the whole thing disintegrating. As I had two brains I boiled the second one a bit before removing the membrane. It made it easier and it ended up being nicer as it was firmer. A bit like a meaty omelette as opposed to meaty scrambled eggs.

Its pig brain, bought from a french supermarket.

I bought a pair of brains for dinner. Does anyone know the best way to cook them. I've never tried it before. Boiled? Fried? Ideas for a sauce?
-
Love it. I'm buying a falling down house in France. No water, no electrics, no sanitation, no windows, no stairs, earth floor etc... Can't wait to get cracking! Don't know what you're all whinging about. It's easy and rewarding!

I hate all mainstream hip hop that comes out nowadays but stuff is coming out that is a whole world apart from that. El-P's new album is mindblowing. I challenge anyone to listen to it and say hip hop is stagnant. Its the same with any genre. Ignore whats on tv and radio and seek out the good stuff.

Are Sheffield Supermarkets doing this ?
Bellacboy replied to Kashul's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Some of those dates are ridiculously short. My dad owns a cheese shop and he has to stop selling his bries before they are even ready for eating. Health and safety gone mad! It's good for me though, lots of free cheese to eat.
