  1. Waits for Unregistered to post about Hi-Q being the best in the world at fixing breakdowns or something
  2. The more experience you have the better. I will check with the lecturer tomorrow about the 200hrs required....
  3. Hello. I am a student midwife at Sheffield Hallam. There is an open day coming up soon and I would advise you to go along. The team will tell you what experience you need to get onto the course. Yes it is difficult and very competitive. I haven't heard of anyone having to do 200hrs though??? After completing the access course I did some volunteering work in the community and also worked as a support worker. Good luck.
  4. My dog is called Bruce - we had to give him a good strong name as he looks like a girl!! Other names I like are - Mikey Rusty Barney
  5. If you have kids the skegness water leisure park caravan site is ace!! The facilities are spot on. Lots for kids to do on site with a club, park ect... We went over the 6 weeks holidays and you don't have to book the place is that big. This website will give you some great campites to visit in the uk with lots of honest reviews!!! http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/
  6. We have the 4 man Quecha pop up tent bought from decathlon and its ace. My husband never has any problems putting it down. I must say we sit and watch everyone pack up in the morning which takes them hours and then our tent takes minutes!!! Its great We also have the Quecha party pop up tent that we cook and dine in!!! lol We survived a thunderstorm in our pop up tent with heavy wind and rain. We love our tents and they are great to store!!!
  7. I can see that it may be inconvenient for you to travel to see your community midwife but overall I think its better for you to have a small number of midwives that work at your G.P. This helps with good continuity of care, the midwife gets to know you and knows your pregnancy. For instance if you went to the walk in one at Jessops you would almost certainly see a different midwife each time. Talk to your community midwife and tell her about the problems you are facing at work. I used to have upto 3 hours off when I was attending my antenatal appointments. The surgery always runs over. Good luck with your pregnancy and hope you find a solution!!!
  8. I just want to say thank you for everyones comments. I expected to be given lots of grief for leaving my dog. He is loved and excercised a lot. Overall he is very happy. I think posting the thread has made me feel better. I will get up early and walk him because we care about him....even though I would rather stay in my lovely cosy bed...........lol.
  9. Thanks everyone for your advice. I am just going to see how it goes. He is so important to me and my family and I dont want him to get sad!!!! My sister has said on the days he is going to left she will nip in and let him out. I think I am worrying more about the dog than my son!!! lol xx
  10. When we leave him he doesn't cry or bark. I have stood outside and listened and also asked the neighbours. Although when we are upstairs then he will bark because he knows we are there. We have tried leaving him in the garden but he hates it. He would rather be in the house when we are out. I was thinking more like 9-4 or even 9-5. This would not be everyday!!!! Just 3 times a week.
  11. Hi all I am looking for a bit of advice from some experienced dog owners. How long do you think its acceptable to leave a dog in the day for??? I have left him for a max of 4 hours before. I start my new job soon and things are going to change. He has the full run of the house when we are out (apart from upstairs) as he is very well behaved and has never been destructive, he is a cavalier. He is walked for around 45 mins - 1 hour per day at the moment.
  12. I didn't think you was allowed to advertise your business on the SF???? Although it does sound like a good price!!!
  13. Brilliant news JanP!!! Really pleased for you xx
  14. The return charge has put me of shopping there! Cheers for letting us know. If the item is in a resalable condition then what the problem? A good returns policy is the key to good customer service in my opinion. If I see something in a shop I like I buy it knowing that if its not right when I get it home it can be returned.
  15. Yes I used them a few weeks ago for my service and MOT number is 0114 2781476
