  1. I was reading about this bloke today. Although he expected and asked for nothing. I hope the offers get him on his way to a better life. I agree fully... humanity
  2. Ah... Redgates. In the early 70's my Nan over in Manchester gave me a 10 Shilling note for my birthday. I'd never seen that much money, let alone had it! I spent every penny of it in Redgates. As for school uniform. It was that most feared time of the year for me, to be dragged off to Carbrook House (Is that the CoOp?) to get the next years clothes for school. I blame such trips on scarring me for life... I still hate shops and shopping!
  3. I thought there was a problem at Notts but then remembered last year. The chicks seem to like the bit that's out of view of any camera, to the bottom of camera 1 & 2.
  4. Still just the one egg in Sheffield... well it looks like an egg
  5. I'm 90% back to normal after a painful shoulder joint for months. I couldn't put my arm back or up and numbness every now and again. The GP sent me to Physio, Xray and scan. The Physio was spot on with her guess. It turned out to be the bursa. This is a sack with fluid in that sort of lubricates joints. The GP wanted to do the injection route but I decided not to after reading many people saying it didn't work for them.
  6. Worth every penny of a £2-4 delivery so I don't have to waste my free time and walk round one of those bloody awful supermarkets. People enjoy it!! How?? Why?? I can see why there should be a minimum spend but also think £25 is plenty. Push the minimum spend up, push people away.
  7. I don't think a general rule for GP's would work. GP's need to look at their waiting times, patient list and work load to see if their hours need extending. It gets annoying at my surgery when they say "we can get you in, in 10 days" this is the same surgery that still closes half day on Thursday! Maybe if they are that busy, closing half days isn't the best idea. As for hospitals. I think better staffing at weekends is needed but as mentioned on the news today, not much point in loads of doctors if there isn't enough nurses and other support services.
  8. If they had to make more decent programs that had a financial value that earned both revenue and returning viewers, like all other TV businesses, they couldn't carry on with the same BS about how they depend on the license fee and their "you WILL pay" philosophy. ITV make and don't sell a program or it doesn't get viewers they lose money. The BBC does the same on a regular basis but the forced fee payers lose the money. Why should the BBC worry about a very competitive export market when they are guaranteed an income no matter what rubbish they feel is ok to churn out.
  9. Oh not again! I got asked at work yesterday if I was cracking up. I was walking about saying "Carsle" - "Castle" today it's going to be. Barth.... Bath...Barth.. :hihi:
  10. :hihi: It's not just me then?
  11. And it may be me. The morning weather lady saying Wednesday. She goes over the top to say the letter D. Wed...ens.. Day. I say it sort of like wenz - day. I decided to use the interweb and see how it should be said. Well one sites way http://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/british/wednesday I can't hear a D in the way they say it on the link.
  12. No such thing as an irrational fear. If something scares you, it scares you. It's only irrational to people that are not scared by the same thing. Anyway, back to a solution... I would go for the "get drunk" or at least enough to build a bit of Dutch Courage. The GP probably would give you something if the first option isn't for you. They don't boot you out of the airport for being a bit drunk. They out you for being hammered and a pain in the arse towards other passengers and staff. Whatever you decide, i'm sure you'll be fine. Oh and can you bring me a stick of rock back... and don't give the the old chestnut that "they don't sell it where i'm going"
  13. I was going to add that it's not the same job as a 2 bed semi I can see peoples concerns and anger about where the money is coming from.
  14. That's what I'd read too. Heating/plumbing, rewire and so on. Still a huge amount of money.
  15. Yes most of them now your asking. And as you want to make it personal and ask about my kids. TAX, TAX oh and lets not forget, more TAX. Don't spout off until your damn sure you know and understand the background of who you're asking questions. I've paid my way every single week of my working life, can you say the same? Keep it in perspective!
