  1. I'm lucky in that I live on the 52 bus route so I have virtually nothing to complain about service wise. Andy C was actually a big help when it came to me changing my ticket buying habits, so thanks for the info you posted earlier in this thread. I only use the bus for the daily commute to work and I used to buy the Stagecoach 28 day Megarider online which was £56. However Stagecoach have replaced this with the Silver Megarider Xtra which is now £62 and they've made this a repeat ticket meaning it auto renews every month . They've also removed the option to pay via Paypal. I like to be in control of my spending habits and don't want to forced into an auto ticket renewal, There is no online option to reject this. I would have carried on buying it had the auto renewal not been forced on me. After reading Andy C's post I've switched to the Citybus 28 day ticket which is £61.20. Travelmaster don't force you to auto renew every month so it saves me a bit of money and it fits my needs much better than the Stagecoach option. So well done Stagecoach; by trying to force me into what is essentially a permanent ticket whether I want it or not, you've actually lost my custom (apart from whatever % you get from my Travelmaster ticket)
  2. I was going to buy my new 28 day Megarider today on the Stagecoach website, as I normally do, however it only gives me the option to buy the "old" 28 day Megarider at £56. It states that this ticket will not be available to buy or use from 2/1/2020 but doesn't give you the option to buy the new Silver ticket at £62. As I want my ticket to start from the 2nd of January for when I go back to work, does this mean, if I buy the £56 ticket, it will not be valid or will I be able to use it for that 28 day period in January? Obviously I don't want to buy a ticket that wont be valid but as it doesn't offer the option to buy the new ticket I'm somewhat confused!
  3. As I understand it they are getting rid of the 28 day Bus Only Megarider which currently costs £56 and replacing it with the 28 day Silver Megarider which will cost £62! Whilst this ticket covers a larger area and now includes the Supertram, it has no increased benefit to me as I only use the bus for commuting to work in the town centre. They can sugarcoat it anyway they like but for me it means it's going to cost me a further £6 per month or £72 per year to go to work. Thank you so much Stagecoach
  4. If they'd sown wildflowers into the verges I could understand them being left unmown and they would actually look pretty (and be useful to bees). However leaving grass to grow 3 feet high then sending someone round to chew it up and leave the cuttings all over the pavements just smacks of saving a few quid.
  5. I know it's early days but I already prefer Sheffield Now.
  6. I never said it was a "diet". Programming is not even a necessity for me. It fills perhaps an hour of my time in a day. As I said I have a busy life which relegates watching shows to "if I have time". Most days I don't. I read the news daily via the internet from various websites and really have no need for daily live TV. Try not to be so condescending in your replies
  7. Do I need the BBC? No I don't. I'm quite happy not watching, or recording, live TV or using their I-Player site. These are the only requirements for needing a TV Licence BTW (Don't let anyone tell you different) I'm too busy to be forced into watching something at a specific time. I want to watch it when it suits me so Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime suit me far better. Everyone is different and to each their own but I don't miss the BBC or their content. I did briefly see some over a few days last Christmas, at a family gathering, and nothing I saw convinced me I was missing out. I'd like them to stop their monthly threat-o-gram but, unlike many, I won't be bullied into getting something I legally don't need. In the future I can see them lobbying to make it a legal necessity to have a licence to watch any kind of programming, be it streaming or catch-up. Personally, I think it's an outdated concept to have to pay one company to watch any live programming from anywhere in the world broadcast by other companies. The BBC should be made to adapt to the 21st century and make their content PPV or subsidised by advertising. In the mean time I'll carry on not watching any live TV.
  8. I've had quite a few appointments at the NGH and I use the 88. You catch it at Waingate CG12 bus stop (just opposite the old Castle Market) and get off outside the hospital on Barnsley Road.
  9. I think that would cause chaos with the amount of buses, and frequency of said buses, that use the route: X5, X72, 52, 52A, 30 to name a few. Saw 5 of Amey's finest there today. must have been there a good few hours too! I'd like to say they were working but that'd be stretching it somewhat....
  10. Totally agree with you, plus they are going to have to contend with all the traffic exiting Asda wanting to be in the left hand lane for the Parkway, which they don't have at the moment. Can't see many drivers being courteous and letting them out.
  11. It would cause the same problem as the one nearer to Asda, just one set of traffic lights up. I don't see a good solution as to where the bus stops should be located but what they are actually doing will, in my opinion, make it less safe.
  12. If they moved it nearer to Aldi it'd be within a few hundred feet of the bus stop outside McDonalds so rather pointless having two of them so close together. It's going the other side of the traffic lights. Think it'll be more of a danger having buses pulling out into traffic that's wanting to turn left onto the Parkway personally. There isn't a good solution, obviously Asda want to keep a bus stop right outside to encourage foot fall. The fact it's taking so long is ridiculous. Surely you start a job, complete a job and move on to the next one? Not start, forget about it for a few weeks, do a little bit, forget about it again etc
  13. I'm ex military, re-joined civvy street 22 years ago after 10 years service. I don't recall a single time I have been given priority over anyone else, nor would I expect to be. As an aside, the majority of men and women I served with were not dumb as has been suggested above.
  14. You've linked to an Express article from Feb 2017 and a Daily Mail article from 2015. Hardly up-to-date articles and from two papers whose journalism is less than reliable. There are many ex-servicemen who are homeless, and many homeless who are not ex-servicemen. There was the recent death of Darren Greenfield who served with the Royal Tank Regiment. He had been offered help from Soldiers off the Streets, SSAFA and other charities but had turned it down. Yes, there is help out there, but if it is refused what can the charities do?
  15. This is a link to the user manual, specifically the section on cartridges. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/71139/Hp-C5200.html?page=14#manual The note on this section may be of help: "When the ink level for the print cartridge is low, a message appears on the display. You can also check the ink levels by using the Printer Toolbox available through the HP Photosmart Software on your computer or through the PrintProperties dialog box on your computer"
