Where can I buy nice cheap moses basket and other baby stuff?
Amanda1 replied to Miss_S_83's topic in General Discussions
Hi, I've posted on this old thread because it mentions the Mamas and Papas outlet in Huddersfield. I wondered if anyone had been and if it's worth the trip? What kind of reductions did you get? Thanks, Amanda -
Think I saw one in John Lewis recently. They are quite expensive, but supposed to be good.

Does anyone work/shop regularly at Asda or Tesco
Amanda1 replied to Amanda1's topic in Sheffield Parenting Group
Oh I haven't tried to get hold of that one as I'm only 24 weeks pregnant. I bet we all spend more in time/petrol trying to track these things down, than the packs are actually worth! Hope you manage to get one soon! -

Chickywiggle..what's the baby essentials pack? Is that the bounty one? if so I got it in Boots in M'hall. They had loads behind the till in the baby dept. The best thing in it was a teeny pot of Sudocrem! AlsoI think you could get in Asda and the Asda ones had extra money off vouchers in. -

Thanks for replies you two! Which Asda did you have success with? I tried Handsworth and Chapeltown and neither had them. They did say, they were v popular and they never have them in for long. Also that they only get maybe 8 packs at a time. If they weren't on the shelf, did you just ask at customer services? I have tried Tesco at Abbeydale Road with no success and I will give the infirmary road one a call (good idea). I got the Tesco huggies basket voucher by joing the tesco baby club. It's the only reason I did join to be honest,as I don't normally shop there. -

Hi, I have a voucher for a free baby beginnings basket when you buy Huggies nappies at Tesco and a free Newborn starter kit by Huggies from Asda.Every time I call in to these stores, I can never find any stock and as I am usually a Sainsbury's shopper, have to keep making a special trip for nothing. If you work or shop regularly at these stores, could you look out for 1) Huggies baby beginnings basket at Tesco 2) Huggies Newborn starter kit from Asda and post or pm me if you see these items so I can sprint down there and pick them up. I love a freebie! Thanks in anticipation, amanda x -
Where could I buy an adults black apron from??
Amanda1 replied to BradwayBee's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Maybe Abbotts cookshop on Abbeydale road could get hold of one for you. -
Good choice. I think there have also been several threads on Cocoa on here. I'm not sure how to link to them! The cocoa lounge (where you have your drink) is a t the back of the shop. It's kind of quirky but in a nice way. you can also sit upstairs. Make sure you try the cup cakes too. It's making my mouth water just thinking about them!

Cocoa on Ecclesall road has a good choice of tea and also the yummy thick hot chocolate. I think the girls post on here so you could get more details on the range of teas from them.

haven't seen the film but read the book a few years ago. I would describe it as mildly amusing.light hearted, easy reading chick lit. Maybe you could post a review of the film if you go! -
Has anyone been to Hairband on Ecclesall Rd?
Amanda1 replied to foxycoxy's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I have been going to hairband for 17 years and i have always regretted it when I've gone elsewhere! It may not be the cheapest around, but it's always a good cut and I do feel that I am listened to when I explain what I want. I do tend to request the same stylist, but can recommend Hollie, Courtney and Katie. They do have late night opening, think its wed, thurs and fri and open some sundays (worth checking that before turning up). I am jealous of your free vouchers, (would've saved me a fortune) but suspect they are to lure new customers in! -
The hairband on Ecclesall road do training sessions, but I am not sure which day. They also do something called stand by appointments where you phone up on the day and if a stylist is free that morning you get the cut at a reduced rate.
