  1. It is a clean tear. Thanks to you both, it is very much appreciated! I will check down at the shoe repair shop.
  2. Thank you so much for the reply but I don't think I would trust myself with this. I don't have a sewing machine or anything like that. I think considering it all I would simply make a mess of it all and ruin the jacket completely. Would it be expensive for someone else to repair it for me? Yes, it is fashion leather.
  3. I've ripped my leather jacket and the rip has actually gone through the leather rather than just along the stitch. Can anyone recommend a tailor or a way of fixing it? Cheers!
  4. Can anyone recommend me one near Pond's Forge? I used to go to Two Step in Ecclesall Road and Devonshire but they are both too far away now. I am going to risk it at the moment and go for Tony's. I have massive cravings for Fish and Chips right now. I just would like some advice for next time. Cheers.
  5. Those bloody Lancastrians! (I couldn't think of any insults..) In the Middle Ages women in European/Christians countries had even less rights. "lol".
  6. You should read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_and_punishment_in_the_Bible Islam isn't the only religion that is violent and oppressive. It has a lot to do with culture/country rather than specifically religion. Not specifically Islam but seemingly any Abrahamic religion.
  7. I don't think that was really needed. *sighs* I agree and have been convinced that practicality (in terms of cost/smell) is a huge issue but I don't like the xenophobia that is sometimes revealed. I admit I am not very well versed in whole burial/pyre. Would it have to be *that* remote (inaccessible)? A viking burial? Interesting. Because they are both nonsense. I think there's a difference between someone visiting and someone living with you. It helps if people are able to intergrate and not resist each other (on both sides). If it doesn't interfere with what I am doing I don't care. We wouldn't have such a rich history and culture if there wasn't so many different cultures/immigration waves in our country's history. If at all possible we can accomodate people we should if they are British citizens.
  8. No one should be resistant and after all this is just a funeral.
  9. They are both religious rites of passage for death, whereas pulling women by their hair is... well... pulling women around by their hair. I don't understand how people are so resistant to different cultures. If they are British citizens they are entitled to equal rights. I don't see the difference between "foreign nonsense" and "familiar nonsense".
  10. Haha. My parents want me to move to Australia so they can visit me.
  11. As vain as this sounds I sometimes quite like to look at myself in the mirror and if I wasn't myself.. - I will stop there. =\
  12. If they are going to scatter ashes then there is no problem (although I can imagine how it might contaminate clean processed water) If they are going to throw half burnt limbs into the river then there's just general decency to consider rather than any culture difference. It would apply in the same way as a previous poster mention in relation to the sea burials.
  13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyspraxia Edit: I had a little problem with Aikido and guitar but I just stuck at it..
