  1. My bus was early today and i missed it, I had to order a taxi to get to work and as i arrived at work the bus i should have caught was sat in the bus stop outside my work having a break. Considering it took ten minutes for my taxi to arrive at my house, it was quite annoying to see the driver having a snooze as i arrived at work. This has happened on a few occasions now.
  2. It looks like those of us that have to travel to work on public transport from up in Ecclesall will have a bit of trouble that morning unless we pay for a taxi to take us a daft route.
  3. Barrowcliffe used to be quite bad, buses wouldn't go there in the evenings at one point, i'm not sure what its like now and as Broccoli B said eastfield has its moments aswell as the area close to victoria road. Alot of the B & B's around the North marine road area are now bail hostels for prisoners recently released on license, one way of making money for the owners i suppose given the decline in the tourist trade over the past 20 or so years. I have personally seen posters inside prisons offering "a new life by the sea" its a real shame because the town was quite prosperous back in the day. :-(
  4. The same applies as long as you consult your neighbours it get their consent then it should be fine, but to move into somebody else's area and expect to be able to treat it as you wish is taking the mick a bit.
  5. Last year i rang the police and nothing was done, this year i will be ringing somebody else if necessary. Some of us are ill and some of us have to work at the weekends, why on earth they think it is fine to be loud all night at the weekend i do not know, be rest assured when you are all hungover in the morning we will be wide awake and full of energy.... ;-) Have some consideration please, it is everybody's best interests.
  6. Breathtaking i'd say We usually walk up from Howden dam, the path brings you out on top of the cliff and you don't realize how big that cliff is until you walk around a little further, a bit unnerving if you're not too good with heights.
  7. I went on one of those courses and gained employment as a direct result of it, the only problem is that i now work for a bunch of idiots who don't know their bum from their elbow. I am grateful for it though, always wanted to be treat like dirt
  8. Theres a shop on cambridge street that has a load of vinyl upstairs mostly dance music it used to be reflex records on norfolk street. When i first moved to Sheffield there were loads of record shops, i miss days off work wandering round all the shops and taking home my purchases and having a nice mix with them all, i mostly order online from discogs these days but i don't get the same sense of excitement that i did buying from shops. London is really good for a day out record shopping and so is manchester.
  9. I highly recommend cafe masala, they do a mean naga curry... NOT for the faint hearted!
  10. It was my house that got burgled, i didn't have anything on show my shutters were closed but unfortunately not bolted, i'm not a student but i agree that with it being a student area makes it a target as students are notorious for leaving things on view and obviously they all have the gadgets and laptops, with most houses having multiple occupants it quadruples the amount of valuble possessions to grab, i have a new house now i will not be staying in the area. they took 2 laptops a ps3 a digital camera a watch and a psp, i am NOT impressed!!!!!
  11. I was burgled yesterday I'm quite upset about it to say the least, I live in broomhill at the moment but seriously considering moving as my house doesn't feel like home anymore.
  12. I just tried to leave my house for work and my entire street is covered in ice, I actually can't get to work at least not without falling several times. Don't know what to do this has never happened!
