What video game are you currently playing?
TTman replied to iphonelover's topic in Computer & Tech Chat
Dont do consoles, do PC though and cause I wont spend more than £20 on a game. I am playing Battlefield 1942, Total war Rome and Shogun 2!! Keeps me amused anyway!! -

Alex Higgins won twice in 1972 and 1982
TTman replied to TTman's topic in Sheffield Sport & Activities
Andy, last night and today you were ranting about 1983 and me knowing fA. Today I had my phone transferred to my VM. U as usual say one thing to somebody and then say the opposite when "pulled on it". I was and am still in mixed company until Tuesday, so I will not have my phone on so you can swear at me like you do when proved wrong. I'm sorry mate but saying your drunk when you ring does not ring true anymore. As usual you say one thing and then when asked to pay up dont and kick off. I consequently will not bet with you again, your such a bad loser and this is one of the reasons you get barred from so many pubs! -

Come ON Andy Words pay up or are you just full of the ****e, you say everyone else is.... Your a bad loser, or is that just a Loser!! -
A so called friend of mine called me a liar about the dates Alex Higgins won the world title. I know for a fact he won in 1972 at a Working Mens Club, just outside Birmingham. I knew that he also won in 1982 at the Crucible against Ray Reardon and knocked Jimmy White out in the semi's. Jimmy was expected to win it after beating Cliff Thornburn. MY Mate Andywords on here will not beleive me or play the £1,000 bet he had with me. I met him on Friday, not having looked on the t'internet, but 90% certain of the year and who played in the final. To save his blushes, as he always thinks he's right, even when he's wrong I reduced the bet to £10. He still thinks that Higgins won in 1983, beating Davis in the final. This is the link I sent him and he still wont pay up or even say that he's wrong. I leave the people on here the proof and will let you tell him http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1982_World_Snooker_Championship. The money was going to a charity and I think that he should now pay up TTman

Personally this looks like a bios problem. Neither card will support aero or anything above 10.1. MSI have always had problems with updating bios and publishing updates and the board is geriatric as far as WIN7 is concerned. It sounds like a new mobo and graphics card are really needed to get the results "you expect"!

Hi people TTman here, I now play for Shiregreen TTC, they are an ETTA premier Club. They are having disabled Toilets and full access doors fitted in the next few weeks. We have several coaches and have a practice on Monday nights. The club is the place where the full monty was shot and has three tables to play on. Please contact either me or Ken Alvey, his son Shaun is a paid coach and recently got a National award from the ETTA (English Table Tennis Association), the countries national body for administration and playing TT. I hope this helps or Google Sheffield Table Tennis for details of other TT clubs in Sheffield TTman

Is anyone knowledgeable in respect if digital televisions?
TTman replied to mart's topic in Computer & Tech Chat
Munster is right, if the channels are not stored in the device, it loses them. If you get a digi box, that will store them but takes about 15 secs to load up on TV. All the best -
Shiregreen TTC C team champions with 4 weeks of League Left
TTman replied to TTman's topic in Sheffield Sport & Activities
Marvellous!!!!! -
I have to state that the Table Tennis Team, I play for has just won the League with 4 more league match weeks to go. We are 9 points clear and nearly 50 sets and counting. There is only the vague possibility of a team coming within 3 points and that's if they win all there 4 games and we lose ours. We have yet to lose a game and have only drawn one match all season. We are looking to do the League and cup double too as we are into the final of the 3 a side KO... We are looking forward to collecting the silverware at the Sheffield Table Tennis League presentation, in May! What more can I say other than all my team mates are jolly good chaps and chapses's Oh I nearly forgot CHAMPIONS!!!

Best to do a complete install of XP Pro, as it runs a few more security features than, XP Home. I say this as when data recovery people have hold of PC's that dont always wipe everything, so there might be coding stopping you from doing a repair etc... I hope this helps TTman

Have you tried the Allfine netbooks at Morgan at the below link:-) it might be what you need http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk/shop/detail.asp?ProductID=6202&CategoryID=404&SubCategoryID=546

It depends how big you want the HDD to be. The smaller in dimensions costs more than the larger 3 1/2 inch enclosure with HDD in. I personally I have used Samsung for my laptop S2 model, small and great looking and never had a problem with it, over the years. Other people have their own choices. TTman

They come with a booklet, but to get mine working "properly" I hooked it up to my ethernet cable and suddenly it worked ok. I think that they need to do this before they work. Before that all the tools were hidden. They take a bit of practice to get used to. Some of the forums to be honest are pants, 16 yr olds going on about how it wont do what windows does, DUUURRRGGGHH its not a windows machine. Get used to it, for the money great, but there are a few duff machines about

I have a similar machine. The problems lie with the apps store that you have access to my store only has about 40 applications. Its great for viewing the whole internet. An Ipad only sees part of the internet as it does not support flash, which most websites and videos have, so it cant see those sites. Mine has wifi on and is 4 times quicker than windows in launching into the internet. Can browse and answer e-mails. It can even run games, its great if you want something to browse the internet and is a touch tablet to boot! You can get devices like this for £166 or thereabout. Mine can access upto 34GB of info or storage. 32GB from sdhc card and 2GB on the machine itself. It has no killer apps at the moment, but can play media (movies and music ) no problem and the screens are quite good too. It all depends how much money you want to spend and I would not get any version of Android under 2.1 as these are more limited
